BP kit CMAK piping issues
anyone else have a very hard time trying to get the cmak piping in with the bp kit? i have the cmak specific piping and there is very minimal clearance to get the clamps coupler and the piping in and make the connections around the motor mount and really regretting getting the zspeed cmak at this point big mistake. not sure what i should do now.

yeah i already have the pics from him and its just very difficult to make the 90 degree coupler connection with the pipes and get the clamps on, probably going to end up switching the clutch and csc out if it doesn't end up working i guess

Fwiw, a couple of us have bought a 45* coupler from pegasus and it made life so much easier. Check out Jlarson's build thread, he highlights the good the bad and the ugly of the BP kit install.

Yeah, then just cut it to length when I could get eyes on it under the car. It takes some time to twist, tweak, rotate the pipes to get things lined up. There is swearing and cursing invovled. Lots of it in fact lol. In the words of the larger than life JCHammond, a little dab of dielectric grease will do ya some good. Makes rotating the pipes a lot easier when adjusting.

Just wait until you have to take the turbo off 15 times... then you will hate life. If its a comp turbo, just toss that fucker in the trash while you are ahead. Dont mind me I am just a bit bitter and compturbo can suck it

i believe this ended up being a pretty simple fix, i had to remove the lower control arm bolt and flip it upside down so the nut is on the bottom side. this aswell as moving the clutch line out the way allowed me to just slide the pipe right into the coupler from under the car.

That's the fix I ended up doing for mine as well. You have the air-cooled too? Mine' been on for 350ish miles and not exploded ... yet. |
