not trying to be rude, but does it take more than a wk to dyno? i guess "the patience is the virtue," but hmmmmmmmmmm........ perhaps, had AAM updated every 2-3 days, there would not been any fuss about it...... like some ppl questioning their service credibility........... or perhaps, "mechanical malfunction" during the dyno? (just kidding) still anxiously waiting to see some numbers.........just like the rest of the herd i would hate to be in Lou's position.................. |

In case you just scanned the pages, most of the delay recently has been due to inclement weather. Unfortunate, but unavoidable.

Sorry guys, I cant keep up with the speed of posts on this forum, LOL. I need to check in more often
Here is the current status of things. The COBB update worked marvelously. However, we ran into a fueling issue which is currently being worked out. On the dyno last week, at higher rpms, the fuel pressure is dropping. So we pulled the in-tank assembly, checked the wiring, and replaced the walbro pump with a new one for good measure. The previous 370ZTT we completed had more than enough of fuel with the 600cc injectors and the Pump upgrade. So unless there is something about Lou's set-up which is changing things dramatically to the point where it may need a RFS (but considering the other 370TT was cracking 500 with no fueling issues, I am leaning away from this idea), we'll narrow the fueling issue down here shortly. We will be making some passes today to see if anything has changed. From here, we'll move down the line until we figure the cause. We've got a million things going on all at once here at the shop but we are doing whatever we can to give the 370Z the time necessary to get it finished up and running well without sacrificing the final outcome. Like I've mentioned before, feel free to ask any questions. I'll make sure to keep up this thread up-to-date for everyone who is interested. Regards, Clint@AAM

What's a RFS?
I figured for a 66% increase that the pump would NEED to be changed every time.

to be honest, AAM is one of reasons why i bought my Z....(i read from a 350z forum that their TT kit was offered for $10K installed)...... thus, i had incorrectly surmised the installed price for 370z....... i would have pulled the trigger for a TT kit, had it not been for $15K+ cost.... thus, still debating and comparing..........between SC and TT btw, i live in VA, about an hour from AAM, so i know well about the weather issue/problem.... in fact, if you look back, i was the one to inform about the 40 inches of snow..... in any matter, i was just hoping for AAM to communicate better with the forum members here...... common courtesy, it's just a thought........ IMHO, no matter how busy you are, it takes only a couple of minutes to post updates/progress...... by no means am i questioning the reliability of their work or products (from what i have heard, by far the best or one of the best tuners for Zs), but i also have gathered inputs from other members about their service credibility as well, both good and bad...... i have yet to deal with them, thus i will defer my opinion for later...... "simple things that make whole lot of difference"...... once again, it's just an opinion. btw, AAM thanks for the update..... |

If you wanted a TT, I would just wait a bit longer and I am sure the price might come down. Plus in the meantime you can buy your supporting mods (exhaust, oil cooler, etc) and AAM will get their TT kit ready for you.
