My only question is..

Why are there no vids of you walking GT-Rs at highway speeds? I'm very interested to see how that will be.

* I do NOT in any way condone street racing whatsoever. :icon14:

Ran into a problem with the tires. I am mystified.

I have the 305's mounted both say outside and outside but when you look at them the tread's go in opposite directions?? Do you think I have 2 Left side tires??

Left Tire

Right Tire- But I would have to rotate it to get the rove lines on the inside then the treads would go opposite directions......

directional tires don't have an "inside/outside", they have a rotational direction.

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 11:39 AM

if the indeed have "outside" written on them, then they should be asymmetric

vipor 03-17-2010 11:42 AM

My tires (stock Yokos) are directional and have an "outside"

yoko advan sports are asymmetrical as well...

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 11:44 AM

so is this normal to have pattern in opposite direction

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 11:47 AM

you have RE-11's right? then they are asymmetrical per bridgestone and as long as you mounted the outside part of the tire towards the face of the wheel you are goldne.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 11:48 AM

So weird. It's screwing with my mind...lol Yeah there RE-11's

semtex 03-17-2010 11:56 AM

Both tires are facing forward? Like we're looking at them from behind their direction of rotation?

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:01 PM

No I haven't spun one, just saying then the tread groves go the opposite way.

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 12:04 PM

ok, look at this picture:

http://www.driftking.net/re11/P1060086-mid.jpg

see how the angled grooves are on the outside part of each wheel, that is how yours should be.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:05 PM

Looks fine then. Just threw me the way the groves would cut opposite directions one rotated the right way

Caravanshaka 03-17-2010 12:08 PM

ya, they are a little weird that way, but according to their site they are asymmetrical and that is the correct way to mount them.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:15 PM

Yeah, I am so used to directional, it just threw me for a loop looking at them. I was like wait a minute they are both Left side rear tires. Learn something new everyday.

semtex 03-17-2010 12:16 PM

Michelin PS2s are the same way if that makes you feel any better.

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 12:25 PM

Just me being OCD.

vipor 03-17-2010 01:12 PM

"Oh noez, muh tirez are weeered" :eekdance:

StillenZ 03-17-2010 05:41 PM

BlackCherryZ 03-17-2010 07:30 PM

hmmmmmm...... what is it like driving 470RWHP daily? or have you been driving it lately?

do you actually need all that power? any problems with wheel spin?

i just bypassed the break-in period and i am trying to have some fun, but........ just spinning wheels way too often........

Fusz post any vids in here yet :ugh2:

FuszNissan 03-17-2010 08:27 PM

GoPro camera needs to be delivered first.

BCZ - It's great. Smooth and precise. The power isn't crazy unless you really want it. As far as DD it's perfect. You want just smooth power just drive it normal, you want power just go WOT, and hold on.

Wheel slip is there in 1st and 2nd at WOT in lower RPM's other than that it's good.

It's a blast!

LateralG'z 03-17-2010 08:35 PM

absolutely sick, are you going to track this thing anytime soon? You need to make a road test video, i think I am the 100th person to ask for it now.:happydance:

My only beef is that the injectors are a little more noisy than the stock injectors(if you can believe that). I have to say I enjoy the upgraded clutch and flywheel feels, much better than the stock set up. Feels great, can't really tell by feel that it's forced inducted. Drives like a normal Z with a little more noise's going on. But feels great for DD. I can't wait for the weather to get better so I can feel some power. The gauges are sick! I had no idea how big the displays were, until I got in the car, I find myself staring at them all the time. Well these are my cliff notes so far.
