The problem with ‘big numbers’ in a SC build is you won’t really see the same results as a TT build. The twin turbo kits are amazing and provide some great head room if you get into a built engine, where the SC kits can do solid numbers but once you start down the engine building route you realize a TT kit just gets you more.

My view, or opinion, was always the SC was a solid power plant and delivery for folks who did not want to get into the power race. You can get solid numbers and have an amazing car, but if you want to play at the top of the power scale you are better off investing in a TT kit (and of course the engine).

They designed their kits with looking stock before performance so they had to smash a small intercooler inbetween the factory crash bar and the radiator shroud so it is undersized for these newer power levels....etc..

The question here is what is considered "built motor" range? When I first bought my Z, 12 psi was considered the max amount of boost you could throw at it with it being safe. That was in 2014. Now we have guys pushing all sorts of numbers and the "whats safe" is very arbitrary. How long will it last? How hard do you drive it? What supporting mods do you have?..etc.
There are guys stating to make 800whp on the stock block.

That is not the point here. I am not introducing this kit to be the most powerful kit on the market. The point is that there will be a supercharger option which will be $6250 for a tuner kit that will make the most power out of the box available for our platforms and it has the ability to realize minimal loss if you prefer to run a filter. A lot of guys like superchargers (for numerous reasons) and this kit will just make sense compared to anything available for dollar per hp fun.

Most sensible guys would be happy with fully filtered air while still having 550+whp on a supercharger and having a reliable setup.

Right now there isnt a single supercharger kit on the market that can bring the VQ to its limits without stressing the supercharger by way overspinning it and without stressing the engine by running a turboguard, which filters nothing but a gigantic rock.

And of course there are numerous other benefits as described on the first post.

Actually, the terrible bends were part of the stage 1 kit, I had the original and it was a terrible design. The move away from that into a straighter pipe and the filter under the exhaust manifold was the compromise so higher boost to be reached. Not sure who has had a melted filter or intake issues but curious on that one, been running the 1.5 kit with the straighter pipe for many years with intake temps 5-8 above ambient in Texas summer with no issues.

Just like this forum I keep an eye on the 350z side and read up on all the builds I can find, not saying they were magical numbers made, just that the 350z guys got into the C38R already.

I never said you were producing this for high numbers, that was directed at another user here. I am happy to see another shot with a supercharger with the Rotrex because I think it provides the best power band for our car and real gains. The original response was with someone saying the 370z has not seen a Rotrex tested on this car, which it has for many builds with high success. Just as you said, in the early 2010 days 500whp was crazy high so the early SC folks hit 400-450whp and stopped and very few went after the high numbers until you brought a real kit (Stillen with A2A) to market.

Here is one instance of a melted filter which you replied to.

Again, there is only one guy (that I have ever seen) that tried the C38R on the 350Z and he seen a 5.2psi gain on a pulley and intercooled system designed for a much smaller head unit. It was goatofrafin.

We are planning to be on the Dyno next week. Then we will release it on our site. It will kind of depend on first come first serve basis at that point. I will update the site with expected ship dates as we go. I have a pretty good amount of parts showing up so I am hoping to minimize the waiting list.

I had to clean the kit I bought because there was melted filter in the housing. I've been thinking of using some form off heat shield or reflective tape or something to prevent it.

Its amazing it took so long for someone to come up with this solution. The key is the jack shaft pulley. Where can these be pulleys be sourced?
