Well folks a little update on my twin 58mm BP Kit, lots of people complained about comp oil less turbos early on in my build, well guess what folks, the turbos so far work great(fingers crossed), so good that during some 3 wide racing at our local airport they bent one of my connecting rods....

So guess what showed up today? My spare block with machine work done by css, let the next stage of this build begin.

What were your numbers before the rod bent? Curious to see how the power delivery mid twins compare to the single.

I was running vp x85, car is tuned by seb, no Dyno sheets to prove it but roughly 500wheel torque, the bent rod could have possibly been driver error as well, I hung out near the redline a couple times during some difficult 3-4 shifts , but the rods are the weak point on a stock motor so it wasn’t bound to happen eventually.

How much PSI were you running. I just got mine tuned last week, I had the 47mm turbos and was making 444 ft-lbs and 544 hp at 9psi. I was using the 8psi springs in the wastegates so room for more boost, but don’t want to break the motor.

I’d say was somewhere around 10-13lbs. I am using the 8psi springs as well in the gates.
