I now outsource the hoses to the same shop that builds majority of the fuel return hoses for this platform. Have the oil cooler kit on my own car, and haven't encountered issues. If I don't know that there is a problem, I can't really fix it

Your leak sounds like the same place mine was. I didn't know the name for the washers I ended up with, but yes, dowty washers were the solution. Thanks for giving me a name so I know for the future!

I've been running the Z1 oil cooler for a while and so far so good. I got the Setrab core upgrade w/ it. Fast Intentions makes a great product, so I wouldn't hesitate with theirs either, but I've also never heard a bad thing about BP, so you have a few good options.
You're going to fully build it, which is great, but these things still like to let go uncomfortably often at or above ~700whp. Yes, even built. It's a head gasket/cylinder deformation issue that so far, it seems only 2 shops have remedied(SOHO and Mazworx). Both claim proprietary methods, so they're rather secretive about how they go about it.

Yep kinda unfortunate.. I was quoted 15k USD which translates to 20.1k CAD before all the duties and fees as well.. A local place I found was quoting me 13k CAD.

Right now I am debating to build the Z or another car that will give me the power I want for less. From what it seems is that there are other cars that handle the power better and are more mod happy... I want to just ask if you have any ideas on a good platform that can take the power and still be relatively cheap and can hold the power and not blow after 1500km...
