Default Belt slippage after upgrading to SI trim and turbo guard filter

Hey guys, I've recently upgraded to the SI trim and swapped put the filter for a turbo guard screen instead.

Prior to this upgrade I was making 12.5lbs boost with the filter on and Sci trim. Was not getting any belt slip

Now since the upgrade I am only getting 12 at best and it drops off at around 5500rpm (I'd assume it's belt slippage but any other possibilities please let me know

I am running the 9psi pulley and also tbatts updrade for more tension.

Any one gone through something similar and found the fix to fix the slip? If a belts loose would I need to tighten the serp side or supercharger side? Any help or input is greatly appreciated!

Hoping it's something simple as I wasn't having any issues before the upgraded trim and filter removal.

TIA!

You're most likely getting belt slip on the supercharger side. You should see belt dust on the back side of the sc and sc bracket. You can upgrade to the Gates K080220RPM belt and PM "Z"en on the forum, he just developed an additional tensioner set up for the sc side.

Are you using a "high traction" pulley on the SC side itself?

I can't see any belt dust 🤔. Ill upgrade the belt and tensioner set up anyway though. Can't hurt!

I'm not too sure which pulley it is, I purchased the kit second hand and it had the pulleys on already. Is there a way to check which one I have?

Yes the color is different.
High traction is grey and normal one is black.

Ok great. What size high tension pulley would I get?

Also does this look like it done correctly? I have seen some images of the belt going over the top of the middle pulley rather then underneath so just wanted to confirm

OMG ! You’ve got the SC belt adjustment idler pulley on the wrong side of the SC belt!
Should be like this:

No wonder it’s slipping !

I know someone else that tried the belt routing the way you have it. It slipped so bad it hardly made any boost. That's definitely your issue.

Good to know! I was somehow still Making 12lb at around 5200 rpm. Can't wait to get the Mofo on properly and see how the car goes. Once it gets back from getting wrapped I shall get it sorted! Thanks again mate.

Ok so I rerouted the supercharger belt correctly and the slip was exactly the same. After some inspection it turns out I'm getting slip on the serpentine belt (visable belt dust) . I have the additional Tbatt pulley and using Gates® K081088HD belt currently but doesn't seem to be enough. Any reccomendations? Possibly different tighter belt? I noticed the belt isn't super tight.
