I did not. I believe I will start preloading it but need to get a better brake setup or a handbrake

You can put the money towards the upgraded ones. That way they don't break the one time you do visit a drag strip :driving:

I'll even pay you ahead of time so you can order the new ones and still be running while they build them. You know I don't install anything I purchase :rofl2:

:iagree: Sounds like a good deal
Here’s the build sheet, if you phone them with questions :tiphat:

That’s why your axles snapped. Oem
Axles can handle a lot of power, but you have to be careful launching the car especially on a prepped surface.

That's the point. Slipping the clutch like that kills it. So folks put in axles. The better the prep, the worse it gets. To get a more consistent launch folks use clutch delay valves. The fast manual tranny guys use a slipper clutch.

Anyone running slicks that chooses to match height with a skinny up front, I HIGHLY recommend sticking to 27.5 vs a 28.
I had a lot of rub with stock suspension and now with coil overs set pretty tall, and stiff, they rub on any dips or sharp bumps over 10mph. But darn that 28 looks good
I definitely snapped another axle roll racing which I believe was due to not torqing the axle nut properly. I was about to buy the 1400hp ones from soho but I couldn’t miss that intake manifold deal. Those are next on the list for sure.

Here’s a video of me roll racing a bunch of people on my buddys drag racing channel(hence his hate for rolls) Sorry the quality is pretty rough, I’m just glad to be out driving. The car scoots and boots for sure. I am dead even with a 894whp twin turbo gt350(loaded) and the CtsV from the video is 954 whp.... The Tt coyote destroyed me unfortunately but a visit to Mazworx in due time will solve that.
Ignite red is the bees knees, mixed 10 gallons with about 5 of pump e85(e72 was that ecutek was reading before) which brought me right to e84. Need to get a draggy.

Thanks to Blue ranger for finding a set of used DSS 1200hp axles on Facebook for me :) Got them for 1500 shipped which is less than half what I was going to pay for the 1400hp ones!

Question, do y’all think I need to preload these?
I know the specialty Z clutch was not meant to be slipped so I’m kinda wondering if clutch drop is going to be ok?

I don't know. The only ones to break the 1200hp axles was SOHO.

Sell the clutch, get a proper clutch set up and a clutch slipper.

Good explanation about intake purchase :rofl2:
As mine initially won’t exceed 20# :ugh2:
Gotta make enough sauce to pay that one Ford back :iagree:
But you may end up back at square 1 with traction :icon14:

Drag or roll racing. Turn the flame map on high

Wuero370z 03-18-2021 10:41 AM

Hoping to do a bit of both :) DSS axles are on and I’ve got the spicy tune ready to go! It definitely shoots flames on shift under high load so we see

Couldn’t find squat for races in Texas. Cops were insane. Went to a dig spot and ended up snapping something. Not sure if it’s the diff, axle, or driveshaft but I’m gunna find out today.
Thought once I did the axles everything would be good to go but ya I dumped that clutch and something snapped

Ugg, do you feel any vibration when you select a gear. It may be your input shaft.
