I’m not sure where I got my info from but I remember people saying the 370z axles were good for close to 700hp. I beg to differ, I think I’m only around 600-650hp at about 6500da. I snapped the oem drivers side axle while testing new slicks on a prepped street. 5500rpm launch and it broke on the clutch drop obviously. Went to autozone and snagged one hoping I could make some softer launches and race in a cash days the following day. Raced a 2020 Supra and lost by a bumper (had a really bad launch) first round. I called him out to run after the cash days and we did agreed for another $100. I launched at 5500 and snapped the autozone axle so lost that race as well. Really hurts knowing I’m gunna have to dish out 2100 for some axles

Ugg, not good.

You may want to get the newer axles. They cost a little more and support more Hp/TQ.

Oh shoot I didn’t realize they were different. I see those for 2540 right?

You have to call. Not on the Website yet. They are about 3k. They have a bigger outer CV joint.

I just got off the phone with them. I could upgrade mine but the shaft is the only thing I would keep. So, Get the 1500hp ones since you drag race.

How much you want for yours? ;)

Not for sale since I will rarely frequent a drag strip.

You can put the money towards the upgraded ones. That way they don't break the one time you do visit a drag strip :driving:

I'll even pay you ahead of time so you can order the new ones and still be running while they build them. You know I don't install anything I purchase :rofl2:

Justin was launching at 7,000 Rpms on a stock axles. Did you load the rear end before dumping the clutch?

He was but they were looking ugly. Load it with the clutch or not they will break.

Justin’s never broke with iver 50 passes at the drag strip. Yes they will break eventually. But not using the proper setup for oem axles, they will break more often. Either shocking the suspenion or putting to much load on them. But I agree with upgrading the axles, but with that still a crap shot at it fixing the solution. Not data to prove they will work for our cars.

He was just lucky. One wrong move and TINK!!!!! Gone.
