Cool Another GTR TT Z

Well I finally decided to do TTs on my Z. I was reluctant to do it because I do put it through a lot at the track and heat was already an issue. But not having anywhere to go for a few months and having a lot of other maintenance and fixes to do along with a pretty good deal; I figured it was time for more power since I pretty much did everything else performance wise except aero. Which I will probably need next to deal with the extra power. Anyway here are some pics of the current state at Real Auto Dynamics in Ocean Side NY.

Congrats! Keep us posted on the rest of the project, please.

I would like to know how the power delivery works out on the track. SC is very predictable but a turbo car can be a handful when the boost builds unexpectedly.

Small turbo's that spool too quick can be a pain in the butt. Get a little bit bigger turbo and you get more control with your right foot. My car wasn't too bad.

I'm guessing it should be similar to a GTR minus the AWD. But I'm just going to have to relearn how to come out of turns. And of course heat will be an issue again, though I hope relocating the 34row Oil and 19row PS coolers to the stillen side ducts will help.

The FI coolers uses an AN -8. Z1 uses an AN -10 fittings and hoses. Found this out when I was helping JL with his BP turbo install.

I know that feeling. I usually catch them on the brakes.

What made you go with the GTR turbo's?

Its pretty much done, a few minor things left but it's up an running.

Coolant temp is a bit high in traffic. (Water, waterwetter, CFS triplepass)
Thinking maybe a manual fan switch paired with a better fan setup.

Need to replace the damage bumper.

Need to install guage pod and order/install dual band afr guage.

Install/order oil catch can.

Verify oil blow by is no longer an issue.

Replace windsheild washer bottle.

Get the ECUtek app working with my OBDIILink LX.

Cold start idle fix, revs only to 500rpm on cold start and have to give it gas to get to the normal 1200.

Oil pressure is about 10-15psi lower then before, 19psi idle and 70 at around 3k on the highway. Not really an issue, just an observation.

Full boost kicks in on or just before 4k so will be great on the track.

Congrats. Nice numbers...should be controllable and fun to drive with those numbers... I’m assuming this is what n 91 pump gas....

Lmk what option u did for a windshield reservoir replacement. Jayhovah has a pretty good write up for a DIY option.
