I need both sides of a broken input shaft to send them for analysis. It has came to a screeching halt since then.

No news on this. Dead in the water. I don't have the time to put into it right now.

Now that the new Z has been announced and confirmed manual, it has made me curious if it will be using an uprated version of the 370z transmission.

Doubtful it will be anything other than the current MT transmission available on the Z or Q platforms. I think I'm being realistic, but in reality, I hope I'm wrong.

As far as the 6MT hopefully they have enough sense to upgrade it. The CSC failure issue is something most people can’t live with. The 7AT are quite solid from what I have seen. Nissan needs to update/upgrade it would be a wonderful idea. Z enthusiasts have high hopes for this.

At the very least, they will need to cast a new casing for proper mating to a VR30. Hopefully they will see that as an opportunity to address the CSC design / problems.
