Thanks. It is performing very well too...putting some good miles on it.

I do not have an estimate on the exhaust at this time, as it is not completely built.

How much time do you estimate that a tuner will need to install the twin turbo kit?

12 hours....maybe 15. It is all bolt on.

I recommend doing it yourself. Turboing an NA car is not child’s play. You need to be in the position to ensure it is always in mechanical working order. Installing the system is going to familiarize you with it and give you a leg up in understanding it if something goes wrong.

Thank you both. I am really torn between supercharging (A2A) and the new BP twin turbo set up. Essentially, I am looking for instant power, but nothing more than 12 psi, as the car will be driven daily (short distances, as I currently have 38K miles and the car is 4 years old).

I am looking for low 500s whp and mid to upper 400s wtq. I believe in very spirited driving, but the car will not be tracked. If the current wastegate settings show promise, I might be good with the 8.7 psi that the test car is currently running. I think that emissions will be the deciding factor, as I have to do OBD II testing (but no visual or sniffer) every two years starting this summer. The dual 100 mil spec cats that Sasha designed will help. I currently have Fast Intentions HFCs and Fast Intentions Cat Back Exhaust, but I would likely sell that exhaust, as the HFCs would not be of any use. That's why I also inquired about the full exhaust pricing. Do you believe that a defouler connected to the o2 sensor would allow me to show all sensors active and supported?

The non foulers have been shown to work, but I am not sure if it will work on this platform. Seems like these vehicles can be a hit/miss.

As for the kit, the boost/power is virtually instant. I am really impressed with these 51mm turbos, and how insanely fast they spool, even with the .86 a/r tubines.

Hi Sasha,

I see you said no coolant lines, these are the new air cooled turbos?

gbrettin 08-11-2020 01:05 PM

About four years ago I was considering making a TT low mount that would be compatible for the 7AT. I think there are enough upgrade paths for the 7AT that would make a smaller turbo solution viable. Heck... These little VS Racing turbos were rated around 600.

Not trying to say my garbage was the same quality as your stuff either. Just an option you might want to look at. I scrapped my low mount TT in favor of a "cheap" LS swap... which the financial boat is still taking on water... lol

Last activity from BP on the forum shows 7-8-20...

I did send an email to Sasha a couple of weeks ago asking same and he responded last night saying he's "hoping to start rolling some of the TT kits out in December"

Sasha does most his design/fab work during the long cold winters of Canada when he’s stuck inside.
