That's it. LA dry sleeves. I would rather just fix it right the first time. We need 3 more people.

Yeah I really think the solution is gonna be the "hoops" not just wire "fire rings". The way they are going to press the gasket into the boss almost makes it impossible to push coolant.

Theres been a lot of talk about those lately. I think theres a few guys with builds in the works with them. Hopefully it works out in the long term. 1000hp is hilariously easy for a VQ to make, if only they could hold it for a day.

You can't do that with Ecuteck or Uprev. I may wait and get my Motec up and running before I do anything. |
Why are you saying I need a stand-alone?
|
Me and couple others are taking the leap to a full stand-alone

I dont see why you couldnt log coolant pressure with ECUTEK. Could probably bring that in through the fuel temp sensor wire. I dont know if I see large benefits to it. You can sort of consider the coolant blasting out of the overflow as your peak hold gauge for that.

[QUOTE=hustleman222;3894387] With all that money you’re throwing into that motor. I don’t believe Ecu tek or uprev is the best option. If you have a gtr it would be a different story with Ecu tek. Why wouldn’t you want to protect your 15k investment. Real traction control, real boost control, all the safety features, tuning capabilities.

I mean, I suppose I would find the data interesting at the least. If I was trying to protect a billet block from taking damage maybe I would be more on board with it. But on a stock block, I wouldnt care. About to leak or already leaking is the same thing to me, just a failed attempt that needs to be built again.
|
Here, Mazworx built their billet block.
|
I emailed Ecu tek about about logging capabilities all they said was go into custom maps. To me it sounded like R&D it yourself and once you figure it out let us know.
|
I have the actual paperwork from them on it. I will take a look later. I havent looked at that yet. I bet it's no big deal. It doesnt surprise me that they wouldnt make a big effort into explaining it via email... it may very well already be explained in the paperwork, and if its not, explaining it to a customer is not a very good use of time since you dont have access to the software to do it anyway

Seb had my boost come in soft for the stock rods, feels and runs great maybe a tad laggy while shifting but it is safer that way
