That satin black is the way to go. Stealth or not, it simply just looks better. GG GTM - Gorgeous!

Snakes709 09-04-2009 02:36 PM

im new to turbo systems...with what the kit comes with....what else would i need for the tt set up? clutch. exhaust....anything else?

shabarivas 09-04-2009 04:26 PM

you will need a clutch if you drive it like you should lol... exhaust? probably a good idea to get an FI exhaust... kit pretty much contains all else you will need

Togo 09-04-2009 06:41 PM

I'd love the look of this kit and the placement of the oil cooler is pretty sweet too!

What kind of oil temps can we expect with this kit and the cooler in the hotter weather? Could we track with this set up, oil temp wise, or do we need a bigger cooler if we were to take the TT to a track.

bradz 09-05-2009 04:17 AM

patiently waiting for the results :excited:

ishthemienguy 09-06-2009 02:33 AM

man, too bad that thing won't be carb legal for the CA residents or is it? but that is a very very sexy toy.

Turbo kits mean legality goes out the window all together..

You're probably going to have better luck finding a supercharger that is CARB legal over a turbo setup.

Stock bumper fits w/ very minor trimming ... you have to remove the block off plates on the outside of the "fangs" and trim the mounting tabs back on them slightly. Removing the block off plates also opens airflow to the filters.

Will have a full write up shortly ....

Snakes709 09-17-2009 01:10 PM

damn, very nice. 467rwhp on stock internals? Trying to get some info put together so i can make my mind up on what i want to do. I know the compression is high on these engines. Thought i read if you have TT or even the supercharger kit, that a meth kit will help keep it safe. I know it keeps things safe heat wise but will it help out in any other parts? Damn i need a tour to afghanistan now!...i want this!

DannyGT 09-17-2009 01:27 PM

Sam - just curious...if you had to take a wild guess, do you feel the supercharger could put down similar numbers to the wheels at 7-8psi?

nq23 09-17-2009 02:59 PM

wow 467 is beast on only 7.5 PSI on a stock block?!?! i wonder how much it would put with with 20 PSI on a built block??????

bullitt5897 09-17-2009 03:27 PM

I love the videos! It looks as though you guys arent even pushing the TT kit at all! Which turbo trim did you install on this car? I was looking to go GT3071's to give me some breathing room for a built motor :D

Awesome to see some real work going on Sam. I cant wait for this to be available. I assume once these go on Sale, will we be able to order them from you here in Australia.

I realise your going to do a write for this, but can i ask quickly what sort of TQ numbers it made. Keep up the great work:tiphat::tup:

EDIT: is it politically correct to say Aussie? because Wiki says its offensive...

john370z 09-18-2009 11:27 AM

I know I have a question and I am guessing many others are also interested in the answer as well. I would love to have a forced induction system (especially since I am at 5500 ft. elevation and am already loosing over 20% from that alone) but to use Ron Popeil’s term, I would like to “set it and forget it”. I would like the highest gains that are safe for the engine. I would not like to have the lifespan of the engine reduced by any significant amount. I do not want to have to take it to a tuner after the initial setup and install and initial tune. Basically I would like the overall reliability to remain while performance was greatly improved. Is this possible? Am I expecting too much? If I wanted 375+ rwhp, should I have bought a car that came that way from the factory? I would love to hear from GTM and Stillen about these questions. Thanks for your time and attention!

Do you really need to post the same question three times in the top three threads?

(And 'yes', I have to post my same question three times to make a point)

Wow, those are QUICK in the dyno run department. Just shows the huge amount of power being delivered - lol.

I think I want. My wallet not want.

Flip side, I have a 7AT, think it'll hande it without popping?

Can you refer me to any shops in the greater Seattle area (....well WA state for that matter) that would perform the installation? Does this require a Cali road trip? 8 )

Hey kdo' depending on money/cost of the in Aus it is something i am seriously looking at. Also everything i have read about GTM here and other forums, you have great ability to allow the kit to grow in HP terms, when if you upgrade other parts of the engine etc..

As for Aussie, i cant believe Wiki says it's offensive LOL. That really cracks me up. I mean it really just is shortening "Australian" when you think of it.

G37Sam 09-19-2009 09:01 PM

Sam that thing sounds insane!

Is that the GTM Exhaust? I could've sworn I spotted some CF in the mufflers haha
