I thought about this some more, I will post a chart for everyone.
This is at 718hp at the wheel. 1st and 2nd never hook up fully.
These are 3rd gear and up. The higher the hp you go the worse it gets.

80 deg and up: Great traction with driving the car a short distance to warm up the tires.

70 to 80 deg: You have to drive a ways. 3rd gear get's sketchy at this temp. you may or may not hook it.

60 to 70 deg: Starts to get real sketchy in 3rd. Driving 30 min helps to warm the tires. Passing a car on the interstate you need to be ready for the back end to step out.

50 to 60 deg: Spinning 3rd starts to become a major problem.

Below 50 deg: Forget all about traction. You have to drive a ways for any and it is limited.

Spinning the tires warms them up some. The biggest help is getting the brakes good and hot. They use the wheel as a heat sink and that will warm the tires from the inside out. Hope this helps you. In a boosted car you have to be ready for anything traction wise. Nothing has scared me at all yet. I am sure I will get surprised one day. I will be ready.

The key is to be ready. Aside from a proper vehicle setup and significant driving experience, anticipation is the ultimate weapon in your arsenal. If you are ready, you won't be surprised. If you get surprised, you weren't ready. Speaking from a single vehicle perspective (you can't anticipate stupid sometimes).

With this hp level sometimes being ready is not enough. You either get lucky or loose it. The best solution is to not get in that situation. I have put a couple in the ditch before.

Isn't that how you learn? I mean, mistakes happen. Are you making a mistake that could kill you or one that will put you in the ditch? Taking that into consideration is part of being ready.

Sure is, that is why I don't go all out if I give someone a ride. Been there, done that, never again.

Boy did I find that out. I had done dozens of third gear pulls and one time it breaks the tires loose at about 90 and immediately hooks left and goes into a spin before I could even react.

Did you have the factory VLSD diff? That is a common trait with that diff. It is horrible and can cause issues like this. If you don't
have a OS Giken or a Wavetrac in your newer car, get one quick.

The record was just broke again at NoFlyZoneCalifornia. This was by Jorgie's car at Unique Motorsports. MPH was a 170.19.
That was surprising quick.

Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. Both Seb and my car need major traction help.

It really comes down to how much money do you want to spend. I think there is a 18x mph in the car, easy.

Although, when it comes to 1/2 mile top speed, its more about where you spend the money. You've spent plenty. I honestly think all you need is a proper runway and some hood pins to keep your hood from flying off

I already have a list of what I need. The question is do I want to spend the money. If I had some help to ease the burden it would
make a decision easier. I don't see that happening though and don't know if I want the other things that come with it.
