A couple things I would add/change are:
Replace the Z1 solid bushing for the CJM solid bushing, you have more clearance for the piping. Might add the Z1 poly transmission mount. I would forget about the Koni shock and go for a set of coilovers and maybe upgraded to Swift springs for a higher spring rate. Stance, Fortune auto, BC, etc offer that option on their coilovers If your E85 is readily available in your area, I would use it. Boosted VQ's love E.

I do plan on putting the transmission mount. I just have not decided on solid or poly. Not sure how bad the noise will be with the solid. I picked up some Tein Flex Z coilovers for a great price (brand new) they will do for now lol. I dropped the rear 1.25" and the front 1" with the coilovers. I hope that is not too much. I wish we had E85 close!!!! but the closest station is 1.5 hours away. I will still put an E85 tune in the car and try to get some drums of E85 in my garage. |

We installed the Z1 solid diff bushings, Z1 solid engine mounts, and the Tein coilovers this weekend. Can't wait to go test drive it with the changes and see how she reacts! BTW that rear subframe diff bushing is a pain in the @ss, even with the Z1 tool!! But we got it all installed while waiting on turbo parts!!! ~ Last edited by Gray Goose; 08-26-2019 at 11:35 AM. |

We started on the turbo install this weekend but decided that powder-coating all the intake piping and inter-cooler would fit this car much better.
So I'm dropping everything off at the painter today! |

For drag racing, stay at stock ride height. Your 60ft times will be better. If you lower it, you will have traction issues due to how much negative camber is added through the suspension travel. It is even quicker, when lowered, than stock.

Id advise getting a harder transmission mount in there when running solid engine mounts. Maybe not solid because of the noise. But you want to get transmission movement reduced. The transmission and engine are an assembly, and one does not move without the other coming along. When the tail of your transmission wags around, SOMETHING up front is flexing to accommodate that. If the engine mounts are solid, we can only scratch our heads and wonder what is distorting when the tail of the trans is putting leverage on the powertrain. Nevermind that I am a big hypocrite and ran solid engine with stock trans mount for a long time.
