Blandino's TopgunZ A2A SC Build
This build will be based around @TopgunZ Full Tuner Supercharger Kit. I'll post a complete list of supporting mods that are on the way. I'm going to leave the prices I paid for everything, but keep in mind I did not shop around or look for deals. Most of the items were purchased online at Z1 Motorsports, Fast Intentions, ZSpeed, RJM Performance, and CJ Motorsports. Current Parts: 1. Topgunz SC Kit - $5999 2. Quaife ATB LSD w/ Side Bearings - $1370 3. ID1050x Injectors with PnP Adapters - $770 4. CJM Twin Fuel Pump Housing w/ 2x Aeromotive 340 “Stealths” - $845 5. CJM Fuel Pump Relay Kit w/ Hobb Switch - $39 6. CJM S1.SE Return Fuel System - $1297 7. OS Giken Grand Touring Twin Plate Clutch - $1710 8. ZSpeed Performance HD Slave + Adapter for OS Giken Twin/Triple - $375 9. Fast Intentions TDX Cat-Back with 18” resonator, carbon fiber muffler, tri-color tips - $2030 10. Fast Intentions LTH – 1600* ceramic coating - $1790 11. RJM Performance Clutch Pedal Assembly Rev 3.3 - $300 12. RJM Performance Tilton Gen2 HD CMC - $324 13. Shapeway Brainiac Plastic for Tablet Dash – $589.66 14. Z1 Full Diff Upgrade w/ Whiteline Bushings - $296 15. Z1 Urethane Motor Mounts - $198 16. Z1 Urethane Transmission Mount - $196 17. Z1 Aluminum Subframe Bushing Collars - $148 18. Defi Advance Gauges Control Unit V2 - $156 19. Defi Advance BF Amber Oil Pressure Imperial 60mm Gauge - $278 20. Defi Advance BF Amber Fuel Pressure Imperial 60mm Gauge - $278 21. Defi Advance BF Amber Oil Temperature Imperial 60mm Gauge -$208 22. Three Gauge Cluster Mount by @scope22 - $85 23. Z1 Motorsports 34 row Setrab Oil Cooler - $628 24. CSF Manual Triple Pass Radiator & Condenser w/ Silicone Hoses- $640 25. Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R (305/30R19 & 265/35R19) - $1,360 26. VOLK Racing TE37SL Diamond Black // 19x10.5 +12 & 19x9.5 +22 - $3,877 27. Z1 Akebono Sport Brake Package w/ Two Piece Rotors - $2,892 Update 20190803 - Parts have began trickling in. Update 20190813 - Received the injectors & PnP adapters as well as the HD CSC. Ordered the Defi Advance BF Gauges for Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, and Fuel Pressure. These are mostly aesthetic, as I have a Zeitronix LCD on the way to set audible alarms and monitor AFR/boost. Not quite sure where I'm going to mount it. Hopefully there is room to cut out a portion of the stock instrument cluster and put it in there. Update 20191213 - I haven't been keeping up with things for a while, but it looks like I have everything ready for the install next month with the exception of the wheels from Kamispeed. I went ahead and purchased the ECUTEK package and a remote tune from SpecialtyZ. The only thing left really is suspension. I've decided I'm going with a true coilover setup since I don't like the bulky spring bucket, but I'm unsettled on ride height. Think I'll wait and see how it looks with the new tires then evaluate my options. I've always loved Ohlins and run it on my track bike & dirt bikes, but it looks like their Road & Track option (NIS GQ00) would retain the OEM spring bucket. The alternative is having a true coilover setup built, but the prices are outrageous and a bit overkill for the occasional track day & daily driver. I'm considering documenting each phase of the installation and noting any issues I run into, like parts that didn't come with a kit, or fitment problems, etc. Everything I'm doing seems pretty well documented & common upgrades among the community, so I'm debating if it'd be useful or worth the time to add another opinion. I actually had to call Z1 about the clutch a few hours ago. They didn't have options available for the soft or hard components and Michael got it all squared away in just a few minutes. Solid customer service! Last edited by Blandino; 08-03-2019 at 02:54 AM. |

Looked around for a 60mm gauge solution to swap out the stock triple cluster on the dash and saw a post by @scope22. He 3D prints these in multiple configurations for 52 & 60mm gauge pods. Super fast responses and easy to work with if anyone else is changing them out can message on here or https://www.facebook.com/groups/1520...24347641082033

It's good to see more sharings like such a build from scratch. I keep thinking I should do the same thing but am a bit lazy doing so. Maybe I'll do it in the future. Anyway.. keep doing the great job & keep us posted.

Just picked up a Z1 34 row Setrab oil cooler & the CSF radiator. All that's left for now is which wheels & the tire size along with finding some sport brakes. Probably going with RE-11's on an 18" wheel due to all the success & positive reviews on here.

Be careful the radiator.

I've seen some mixed reviews on them. When I spoke with Kevin at Fast Intentions while ordering my exhaust we discussed the radiators a little. He said they used to do them frequently on their FI builds, but after a couple leaks they stopped b/c they haven't ran into issues with the stock rads on 700+ hp cars.
I debated it a lot since it probably won't be necessary for my build, but I don't want to be unhappy with coolant temps down the road and I just can't leave things alone. I'm hoping to get everything knocked out at once with this so I can finish tubing the truck and keep my hands off the 370 for a bit. Thanks for the words of caution though, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the coolant levels for a while. |

I have bp turbo kit and live in Tucson with stock radiator, thermostat and cap. My water gets to temp quick since the turbo is water cooled. I planned to avoid driving in over 100* temps but the heat spike caught me with my pants down the other day and ended up driving in 115* unexpectedly. My temps never went above "normal" one dot below center. Ranged from 190-230*F max.
Hottest was when i was stuck in traffic in a construction zone. As soon as i start moving it drops quick. I think hood vents would help cool better and be less risk than an aftermarket radiator. I have an 09 too that came with green coolant. I switched to Nissan blue about a week after I installed the turbo and noticed the temps were much more stable and dropped about 30 degrees. In the winter i was hitting about 220 in 60* ambient. After Nissan blue it was around 180-190*. I am not sure if it was crap green coolant, air in the system or the nissan blue that caused the drop but i really think it was the nissan blue.
