If someone puts the effort ..money ..time and research to achieve high numbers ,why shouldn’t they post it and brag about it ...that the fruits of the labor ....before anyone invest in any build they should do their research to ensure THEIR car doesn’t blow up. The more people post/brag the more ground work that is done for the people that do research to learn the limits and what causes issues and how prevent it from happing. That’s the research that should never stop.

To be old and wise. First you have to be young and dumb. And survive the experience. I've had my share of screw-ups. Most self-inflicted. And learned over the years. Plan, and research. I'm like Spooler here. I hate to see some newb waste money that could go some place else. When they fail. They might not understand on what went wrong. And that will put them in a bigger hole to get out of. If they would only listen to half the stuff we say. It would prevent a lot of heartaches.

There is no actual limit though. Wear and fatigue is cumulative. There is no defined line where the engine has become terribly unreliable. We just know that it is theoretically less and less dependable the further you go. So if there is no clear line to the limits of the engine, how do we define a clear line where someone is being a poor roll model or misleading others when advertising their achievements?
This sort of record stuff is always going to go this way, and its like this for all platforms. Pushing these records ultimately helps a community dial-in their expectations. If its the world record, common sense tells you that this car is currently pushing the known limits, and you should assume that if you do the same you are taking on some risks. I do strongly feel that there should be more consumer awareness in this industry to appropriately align the expectations of the owners. People only see the results with no real understanding of what might have occurred behind the scenes to get there. But that responsibility does not automatically fall into the hands of people setting records. I have personally spent a lot of energy over the years talking customers out of builds that I know will ultimately make them miserable. Most of them actually just dont want to hear it and seem to get frustrated with me for it.

Guys, thanks for the concerns on Charles's engine but I don't care to ever share boost plots due to people thinking their tuners can just turn up.
The car is a complete blast to drive and it is just laggy enough. Spooler, that 3rd gear post was a roll onto throttle and kind of letting off earlier than I would have. However feel free to boost 25psi. I didn't but would try if someone gave me free range

Lol!!! All this talk is exactly why I had no problem giving Seb complete control over boost by using boost by ECU. I'm a natural born risk taker and like Jon said, if given free range....I'm doin it.
Last log review I got at 21psi , Seb said "That's it." , my response "Ok." All that's left for me now is to toss it on a dyno and see where it's at. I'm just like Spooler, I have no aspiration to be rocking 800+ on the regular even though I'm built. I'd be happier with a solid motor making 750+. Now I just have to arrange my Dyno time and find a trailer real quick. I'm already signed up for Wannagofast Ocala soooooo |

I think a lot of it has been in response to all the people saying "I give it 2 pulls on the dyno before it blows up", "It's gonna explode inside a week", "There's no way he'll even be able to drive it home before it pops", not some shady marketing. One of the annoying facts of life is you can't fix stupid, especially stupid that is too lazy/doesn't want to be to fixed.
