New turbo guard pre-filter

Turbo guard has a new screening to go over their ultra screen and they claim it can be used as a daily application and it can be removed for track or synopsis runs has anyone used or looked into these? Was wondering how the flow would compare to a standard air filter

Flow isn't the issue but filtration is.

Wonder how often you would have to remove it to clean it?

I tried one similar to that from Filterwears on my Turbo Guard screen and it dropped my boost by 5 psi. That was on a supercharger.

I emailed turbo guard and asked about how it flows compared to air filter ...the response was ....it isn’t designed to outperform but to protect better than the open turbo guard and to be removed for “maximum “ performance ....like at the track or dyno

Yep, that makes perfect sense. And they are easy to clean, just soap and water.

hi jinxx, over the winter i kinda designed my own guard/screen for my rotrex, due to the filter being distorted from heat of the exhaust manifold i wanted to try something else. i let you know if its a fail or no change.

I’m hoping Sasha finishes his design on the the filter set up ...changing the motor mount out like the GTM one and push the air filter further up front
