Default Insight Needed From Boosted Owners/Builders - Need Advice

So I've owned the Z for nearly 2 years now. I've pretty much done every bolt on + tuned. It's mainly for looks as it's low, got wide wheels, I am looking at switching it up. Light wheels, raise car back up to 100% functional, meaty tires, etc.
My main dilemma is I just accepted a new IT position at work, bought a house. Fortunate enough to not have kids or a wife. Only a girlfriend who mostly supports my car addiction.

I am in the market for a used GTR (around 55-65k), but obviously my financial mindset (I am fortunate to have at a young age) tells me just boost the Z and enjoy it for a bit longer until I'm 100% comfortable affording the GTR, as I am with the Z.

Which brings me to my questions for the Boosted owners/builders/shops etc.

Realistically, what #'s should I expect with a single turbo or A2A SC kit? With looking at GTR's I'd like to be around 550-600whp.
The weak link would be the 7A trans I'm assuming from research, which leads me to my next question,

What's all needed to rebuild the 7A trans to handle 550-600? And costs associated? Any companies offer rebuild kits, solenoids, etc to beef it up?

I've looked at a few SC/Turbo kits,
Stillen with SOHO A2A upgrade w/ 9lb pulley upgrade (580whp/427tq)
SOHO Stage 1 (540whp/465TQ) for $7899 or
SOHO Stage 2 kit for $8999 with 570whp/498TQ

I'm looking to stay under 10k, The best bang for the buck would prob be a lightly used Stillen, + $1999 for A2A kit and then whatever parts needed for 7A to withstand around 550-600whp/420-500tq.

I want some first hand experience (before pulling the trigger) by builders or owners on costs associated with, how much power to realistically expect, etc. Any info is much appreciated.

Best suggestion: Call Kevin at Fast Intentions and talk to him, then maybe call Sasha at Boosted Performance and have the same conversation. I called Kevin and decided that when I go boosted, I'm taking the car to FI for the install, not because I can't do the work, but I'd rather the experts do it. That way it gets done correctly, and I can enjoy it on the drive home.

Don't leave out the supporting mods. Injectors, fuel system, clutch, etc. It freaking adds up quick. 20k would be a good start. If you need more, save up for it. Insurance on a GTR at a young age would be outrageous. You better check before you leap if you want to go that route.

Kevin quoted me $22k for a TT setup with all supporting mods, OTD. That included the tune by Seb. Of course, I'm looking for about 450hp.

pretty much Level 10 transmissions make the only upgraded 7AT setup that can hold 1000hp

I priced mine out a while ago with the 7AT upgrades, supporting mods, etc and it was going to be around $20k, not to mention the shipping costs to get my car to FI from Chicago.... I’m also mildly concerned about reliability and considering this is my daily, I decided not to pull the trigger. I think you’re better of getting the GTR and doing downpipes, intakes, injectors, along with a cob tuning kit to get around 600 hp!

You ever price insurance for a GT-R? It's is one of the highest to insure, plus the so called GT-R tax on mods. Just ask FPenvy.

Good point on insurance. I guess for mods it depends on how far you go. Cob access/tuner, injectors, down pipe, intakes would be a lot cheaper than 20k.

I actually quoted with progressive, I am 25. I have military discount, home owners, multi policy, etc and a Platinum member with nothing on my record. I pay $184 for all the bells and whistles full coverage on my 12' Z. I was quoted just under $300 for a 2012-2014 GTR with all the same coverages. Wasn't ridiculous at all. What is ridiculous is 20k into my current Z, I had NO clue it would be that much, even with supporting mods. Thanks for all the info. I was thinking roughly 8k for SOHO kit or around 6k for used Stillen SC + A2A kit and then supporting mods, trans mods = $10k or so... 20k is too much for me, I won't be owning this too much longer. GTR's are getting cheaper by the month. I'll just stick it out. Maybe just do some more interior mods.

I planned on installing at a local speed shop with the help of some pros. I am a 100% diy'er. Thanks for the contact info.

5k just for that, it's the only option? With me being at 550-600 is this required? I want to be safe and she gets the best. But I wasn't thinking most people who go a mild 550-600 on a Stillen + A2A kit "had" to run this?

Yeah, that's the average price everyone on here is saying, I planned for supporting mods about 8k for turbo or SC kit and some other misc items and got around 10k, def not 20k but that's why I got on here. Think I'll go GTR next year then. Not willing to drop 20k into a 370z that is already 7 years old. When I have have a 5-7 year old dream car of mine.

See comment above to @Spooler , I have a clean record, 25, military discount, multi policy discount, I'm at just below $200 now with the Z and I was quoted for 2012-2014 to be right at $300 monthly. I didn't think that was bad. But I do agree aftermarket mods are crazy priced (exhaust, intakes, bov, tuners, etc) but I'd go lightly modded. I just want a simple bolt on, reliable power GTR, lowered, Advan wheels and some meaty tires and call it a day.

That is 1800 ever 6 months. That's not cheap. Get one ticket and they will drop you like a bad habbit.

With my income. $290 a month to me isn’t bad. Also, $184 right now with a Z . So only going up $106 isn’t much. Also I’m platinum which has a small accident forgiveness. In 8 months I’ll be at diamond savings and that’ll discount more + gives large accident forgiveness. Good friend is a lawyer. Already kept 2 speeding tickets off my record. So I have nothing on my record. My friend who’s the same age as me own a small car lot and owns a GTR 2014 and pays like $240 for full coverage, with Geico .

The main thing is the $750-900 car payment. But I mean honestly my brother has a 2017 F250 Platinum and his payment is $1180 for a truck... so that helps me sleep a little better at night

I was in the same boat planning out a TT build for the Z went back and forth for years on it. Ended up just buying a GTR and now the Z is my summer daily.

GTR tax is real. Was gonna go cheaper route with the SBD700 kit for 5k but have now changed my mind going with better parts so FBO will end up being more like closer to 10k when all said and done.

Honestly this is your best bet. You've had your fun with the Z. As recently as a couple months ago I was considering GTR to the that if I had run into a really good deal on a 14+ it would've been trade time. And I was balls deep in my build. I was that ready that I would've taken the hit on built motor , boost and the whole bag.
Today I'd have to be finished building but the threat now is if a ZO6 or a 14+ GTR attract my interest.
