Unfortunately it won't be possible to achieve your goal under 10K (go boosted and have 7AT rebuilt at the same time...). To the best of my knwledge, we have three feasible solutions in our AT rebuild. However, there have been several tragedies reported. So far it seems to me that there is no absolutely reliable transmission rebuild. Chance is yours to take 😢😢😢

You can boost on a budget (I did!) but to stay under $10k you needed to start out with a 6MT and adjust your power goals closer to 500whp. Upgrading the 7AT is half the budget on its own.

As recently as a couple months ago I was considering GTR to the that if I had run into a really good deal on a 14+ it would've been trade time. And I was balls deep in my build. I was that ready that I would've taken the hit on built motor , boost and the whole bag.
Today I'd have to be finished building but the threat now is if a ZO6 or a 14+ GTR attract my interest.

If I come across a 2016+ Viper ACR or a older ACR-X at the right price. It could be game over. :driving:

The delima with an auto is the trans. Go FI and you won't have to worry about the trans. Cycy was the first FI auto trans and it made 700whp. Of course it was not left there but still over 600whp and is still running today with no issues. Cy will be at ZDAYZ.

:rofl2: Like I said. The price would have to be right.

GTR is a money pit when you start adding up cost over time, the maintenance cost are super car cost. Maybe you like giving the insurance company money. I pay less insurance for four vehicles than you will play on the GTR with you low rate. And no they are not all beaters as my wife's car is an 2014 Audi s5 to go along with my 2010 Nismo, 99 Miata and a 2002 GMC 4x4 diesel pickup. They are all paid off except for the Audi. Anyway my build will be exactly like Spooler's and be rarer than a GTR. GTR techs will stop working on a GTR to look at and admire my Z the few times I have taken it to a dealer. I asked GTR tech that installed my APR wing if he drove my car after he installed my wing...he paused and then laughed and said it's faster than a GTR!

To each their own, I consider getting a GTR as well at one point but the numbers and the GTR tax didn't make since to me. I had my eyes on the 14 Track Addition.

LMAO, he doesn't really want one. He has champagne taste and a beer wallet like most of us here.

Spooler 04-16-2019 07:26 PM

If a cop see's you in a GTR speeding you are getting a ticket. No mercy for you. Then you can wave bye bye to having insurance. Back in the 90's in my 300zxtt they always clocked my. Every time. I had to be very choosey where I had fun at. The way they see it is if you have money for a GTR, you have money to pay the ticket.

Dang man, you are working part time to pay your taxes. You gotta get that dollar amount you are pulling out of your retirement each year down lower.

It was Obombacare that screwed us over. Qualified for the tax breaks at the beginning of the year. At the end of the year. Find out that we no longer qualified for the tax breaks and had to repay everything back for the year plus some. No longer on Obombocare. On a christian based health care for less then half the price. Don't have to worry about qualifying for the tax breaks anymore.
