Is the jackshaft pulley sc side a standard vortech 8 rib? I need to swap mine out with a high traction, that's where my belt slippage is coming from.

Hey folks.

I did a little research on what belt size would fit the 3.47" 8 rib pulley.

https://jonbondperformance.com/index...oducts_id=1160

This belt apparently fits the 3.47" supercharger 8-rib pulley.

But Im not sure if it would pair perfectly with the 3.0" and 3.47" combination

I contacted "StillenZ84" (Evan) and he said you have to install a spacer on the supercharger shaft in order for the pulley to line up with the jackshaft pulley when you change out the jackshaft pulley. A longer bolt is needed also.

Lol man. I wish I could talk to him.
I been trying to reach him forever!
Glad you were able to contact him though.
Maybe he doesn't like me xD or thinks I am a weirdo for trying to contact him hahaha.

Thank you. That is valuable information that I will hold onto and remember for when I decide to actually use my 3.47" pulley and swap out with one of the stock 3.2", just to pair it with my 3.0".

Would you be able to please ask him one more thing?
What belt part number is needed for the 3.47" and 3.0" combination of pulleys?

Now that the spacing issue has a solution of a longer bolt and custom spacers added, we just need to find the correct belt.

Please and thank you if so!! Would be super appreciated and helpful for any of us that want to use that combination to make nice boost. :)

I contacted him through Instagram, if you want, I can pm you his Instagram info.

Why not use the 2.8" pulley and the 3" idler instead of messing around with custom spacers?

I will be honest haha, I do not know where the idler would go on the supercharger jackshaft side.
Would that mean theres 3 pieces total? 2 sc pulleys and an idler?

How much psi would be made with that setup? :o

The Vortech 2A038 8 rib pulleys have a different backspacing on them than the stock 3.20 jackshaft pulley that comes with the Stillen kit. It makes the jackshaft pulley stick out from what I can guesstimate, about 5 mm's towards the front of the engine as shown in the pic that "cupcake" posted.

What I'm trying to accomplish is to replace my 3.20 jackshaft pulley with the same size high traction pulley.

Oh shiat, I just noticed this is my 666th post, the devil made me do it.

Scratch that. I see the 3rd idler now lol. Im so blind.

Gotcha.

But would the 2.8 and 3.0" idler pulley with the stock 3.0 pulley bring in 13+ psi?

Also my mechanic had a slight concern.
He said when he was manually spinning the 928 upgraded SCi supercharger v3 in my car, it sounded dry

This is because of the brand new 928 pieces that were put in, correct? Impeller, HSS bearings, etc. Correct or incorrect?

TopgunZ 06-21-2018 12:06 PM

There is no stock 3.0 pulley

cupcakez 06-21-2018 12:19 PM

I meant stock 3.2 my bad lol.

You need to put oil in the SC when it comes back from rebuilding. One bottle (4 oz)

Your mechanic didn't think to pull the dipstick to see if there was oil?

Nah I think he was stressing out about the other issues that was going on at the time lol since he is the only one working on the car the entire time

But guess what though?

My car should be ready to fire up tomorrow, the A2A kit is on now, the new engine is swapped in, brand new VVEL's are in (just need to do the proper procedure for brand new ones), the new tires needa be swapped onto there (305/35/19) MT Street tires, fresh o2 sensors, bumper, headlights, and all necessary fluids.

After that it should be good to go. FINALLY the WAIT is OVER!
