As the poet laureate of our times once said:

Any word on the rim auto trans? So far I've seen the kit going in autos and 1 manual, my main concern is my trans...and a little unfinished business

For the hood questions I partnered with synergy composites to make the cowl. It’s currently in prototyping phase. As soon as the final prototype is done I will post pics.

1. The kit is supplied by RJM;You are keeping track of forum orders/questions on their behalf 2. A Hood cowl is not included in RJM kit; 3. A hood cowl option is being pursued in a separate collaboration between you and Synergy Composites Is RJM not pursuing a hood cowl to be included with the kit? Will that be the customers' responsibility (with your/S.C. option available)? |
1. Yes you are correct.
2. The base kit price does not include the hood cowl. However, RJM may stock a few. It will be orderable as an option directly from RJM. 3. This is a collab between: myself, rjm and synergy |
so an update:
Trey just wrapped up his initial tuning session today. Trey is running the stage 1 kit with a simple pulley and fuel upgrade (making it a stage 1.5). Making nearly 700whp @16psi on e85 on a 6mt. The car has more in it but the tires would not hook on the dyno. The car made over 500ftlbs+ at 2k rpms!!!! Note that the car is still on a stock motor. Transmission is upgraded with a triple disk clutch and he is running a quaife 2 way. More info pictures and video on this car later. |
Hey bullitt, I know it's no small thing but could you comment on CARB approval? I know there's a process to go through. Has the process even been started?
Really liking this kit |
Just as I was looking at the stillen kit you give me the whine I loved when I drove the ZL1. Find me a good hood option and Im in, heck ill modify my OEM hood to fit if I have to. Let me know how this rounds up because I may be ordering in the next few months if it works well vs the stillen kit

On CARB...
RJM is going to be working with Roush on CARB approval. Their vast experience and testing capabilities makes them the best partner for this process. The main delay is that roush has gone through an audit earlier this year by the CARB board. This happens every once in a while. Due to this audit they cannot do certified testing on behalf of CARB. RJM has all the documentation and is consulting roush for advice on CARB. Once they clear their audit RJM will source a car and send it to roush for testing. This is a costly endeavor for RJM. So please be patient they aren’t as big as stolen but the kit is extremely solid! Another customer's car put down 617rwhp and 408ftlbs on 12.5psi and e85. There is a ton of room for his car to go once he upgrades his oil cooler. So far we have about 4 cars running this kit on the road now and several more on the way. |
Customer’s car is stock block and a full stage 1 kit with the race heat exchanger upgrade. He has the fast intentions flex plate and RJM triple disk tq converter and level 10 valvebody for his 7at.
He will be making the switch to the RJM fully built transmission soon as well. |
