So, I asked Phunk the Fuel Master about what his opinion was regarding my case, and this is the conversation:
Hi Phunk! My vehicle is currently going to have the following upgrades: - Stage IV IPP Long Block - [x6] OEM GTR Spark Plugs - 4 Bar Omni Sensor - TopgunZ A2A Kit - Tial Blowoff Valve - Treadstone 720whp intercooler - [x6] 1050x ID - [x2] Brand new o2 sensors - ATI Super Damp Street Crank Pulley, Stock size 5.7" - Quaife LSD Lastly: - 928 Motorsports Super-Vortech Impeller & Bearings upgrade - Triple Pulley swap of 3.0", 3.47", and 9 psi pulley. My question to you: - Do I ABSOLUTELY Need the CJM S1-SE system with these current upgrades or, will the returnless fuel stock system with the upgraded modified fuel pump from Stillen Supercharger Kit + 1050x ID be enough to safely run the vehicle? Is it possible I could just upgrade the fuel lines to the fuel rails in that it being slightly bigger fuel lines to give enough fuel and maintain fuel pressure? Or would you strongly recommend I get the CJM S1-SE return system? Or perhaps you may know of a different method to get around this? Thank you His Response!?: You definitely do not absolutely need a fuel system! You will be safe to run the vehicle with a 100% stock fuel system. In the future when you want to turn up the power and push it, let me know. We should have fuel systems available indefinitely into the future! Charles I'm glad he said that xD |

I ordered directly from Stillen. I ordered the Si sc instead of the stock Sci, I didn't order their fuel system, water to air system or their canned tune so it's not carb certified. No sticker.

Asked another way: is there a cutoff horsepower level (or psi) where you need a fuel return system? I hate when answers don't really go far enough, and only open the door to more questions... Last edited by bcfromfl; 04-02-2018 at 07:42 PM. |

If the tuning is calibrated to where you have a lack of fuel... Fuel targets are fuel targets. If you can't hit them you need better hardware, and if it isn't hitting the target, it isn't running right. If the fuel is wrong target then change it, and a lack of fuel is due to either mechanical issues or target being too lean. So for example: If you want to run e85, you need really good A/F sensors, otherwise you won't know if you are hitting the e85 fuel targets accurately or not. I would also assume when he is talking about serious high HP numbers he probably means 600whp++ or in that range. Maybe 700whp? Haha. |

I am most definitely going to get the cjm s1-se, just not right this moment if I can safely push it aside and get other things like a 928 upgrade and get that out of the way haha. |

Because its either I get the 928 or the cjm s1 se first. one or the other xD and i prefer the 928 first only because it takes 2 week turnaround time plus the labor of removing headunit from bracket from engine bay then shipping it out lol
He also was aware of me having the 928 upgrade which is what I put in the PM and he still said it would be fine to run 100% stock fuel system (that being the stillen modified kit fuel sysfem), with 1050x IDs. Im sure if it wasnt good he would recommend me get the S1-SE system. I was surprised he said what he said as well , dont get me wrong! Considering the amount of boost I will be getting after 928... But he knows what hes talking about Im sure way better than I can research lol. So I trust him. I will still upgrade it when I upgrade to e85 Last edited by cupcakez; 04-02-2018 at 09:01 PM. |

Yeah because I want the bearings upgrade.
Unless I can use my triple pulley combination with just their impeller upgrade from vortech to make it an SCi...when I asked vortech, they said they dont know -.- |

Yeah, bearing upgrade is a good idea. I hope my stock ones hold up. The stock sc is the Sci. The upgraded one (which is what I have) is the Si.

I plan to replace my v3 head unit eventually when I max out the power on that thing with the a2a kit, and will be hungry for a v7. So hopefully the 928 will hold me out until then! (Somewhere in 2019 lol). For now I want to go little by little safely haha |
