It took 5 back to back runs on the dyno to see a max of 111 deg in a 95 deg shop. My chit is right. Before, it was 158 to 168 deg on one dyno run. On the street it is dang low. I can see it on my Emtron display and I also log it.

Dang! Brother you got your stuff on point. Im going to rebuild the car next winter and going to do everything possible to lower temps, and back pressure as far as block goes havent made my mind yet. Also dont know if saving up for a syvecs ecu would even be worth it, but heard really good things on there gtr firmware. But thats awesome brother your z is a wepon.

If you want copper headgaskets make sure you do this. It will make your life much easier. You can try to short cut it but this is the proper way to do it.

Maybe i start cheap and just do a basic 14mm head stud and open deck and see how far it takes me. I have a couple spare engines so i can try again. I think it may be better to start simple. |

Listen to this. This has never been done for the VQ, step by step. There are things we can do to make the VQ last longer and make more whp. It's never been done with all the VQ shops we have. That's why I went to a standalone. No more guessing.

Yea i hear you. Shes more likely going to be full race car next year or year after. I have a turbo ls vtec 89 civic for stree or 94 300zxtt that i want to keep street dont want to start cutting up the 300zx to be a race car. So my 2017 370z will have to become the race car lol. But i hear you, there were people running the vq35 with 14mm studs that had good success, maybe im wrong in assuming it would work on vhr. I also wanted to add arp insert washers. Back in the day when 240sx ka24 were burning head gaskets around 70php some guys ran arp insert whashers to get better clamp apread and had succes getting past the 700hp mark.

Hows the traction controll strategies? Im sure it has top notch traction control . How about boost? Time based boost controll? I would love a stand alone specially for boost and traction control. Getting a real launch controll system. Roughly how much did it cost if you dont mind me asking? |

The only thing I lost was syncro rev match. I can heal toe so that's not a big deal. Everything else works. As far as traction control, I use none. LOL, I have it turned off right now. I am sure I will play with it eventually. I do have boost by gear and rpm. I can do both at the same time.

Cost, it wasn't cheap. I added a ton of sensors also and a Emtron 5 in. display. You can see it on the two videos I posted earlier in the thread. Page 361.
