You try to help people head in the right direction and this is what you get. Yes, the solutions are expensive. Nothing I can do about that. Once they find out how much it costs they start telling my how they are going to fix it besides the options I provided. When I tell them it won't work they get really upset. I have also had them DEMAND that I tell them all the details on how the solutions are done. When I refuse, they get even madder. Then, I get the I know more than you attitude. Well, OK. After that, I get you payed too much money and I am a fool. I have done a ton of research and most of it is in this thread. Most of the idiots reside on the Boosted VQ Facebook group. I can name even more names, I won't.

I know you got all your information from Cupcakez. Oh wait, he provided information on what not to do :rofl2:

That is exactly the kind of stupidity I have been dealing with. I have no more patience for it. I would rather have quality people around me. It is healthier that way.

Don't forget the Give Me crowd.

Idiot: "You need to give all that to me."
Me: "What? You mean what I Paid for? "
Me: "Not happening"."

We have a bunch of spoiled brats out there. They reside on Facebook.
If they don't have it, they try to steal it by whatever means necessary.
You know, lying, cheating, stealing at all costs. Wife and I are deal with this now.

Spend 4 yrs at college on mommy and daddy dime. Partying their azz off. Come out with a gender studies degree and want the corner office with 2 windows, top pay with full benefits. Don't want to work their way up, plus don't want to get their hands dirty.

I think as we get older, this naturally happens to a degree anyway, but our social media driven culture makes this almost a requirement if you want to maintain your Zen calm center/sanity.

“Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you”. :tiphat:

I laughed when he said a reliable engine should go 2 yrs before it needs to be gone through. Running around with +1000whp is not cheap. Makes more sense to turn it down when it is not needed. 700 to 750whp for the street is more than enough for street driving.

You run 1000whp, and you are tearing down a motor frequently. Chit breaks faster. Just ask Top Fuel crews when they tear down an engine between runs... :shakes head:

I think you missed my point. That is exactly why I laughed because the folks wanting 1000whp have no idea of the cost of maintenance. I make what I make and I sure won't be running that power all the time.

So true. Sure you can have a 1-2000whp car last on the same block for years. But the maintenance is outrageous

About like that young kid in California that was driving his daddy's Lambo with a suspended license. He killed a lady. Let's see what happens there.

Everybody knows i bought a Draggy. Went out with it in the car. There was way too much traffic to even consider using it. Back in the box it went. I will use it at an event, overwise it will stay in the box. I know someone in the tags thinks it is funny but it is not.

Spooler 05-24-2021 11:40 PM

Yes, I use my car it is just out in the middle of no where or where there is very little traffic. With this much power comes great responsibility. It is tempting sometimes, oh is it tempting.

Happened in my small hometown just a few years ago. I'm not entirely sure what came of it, but 2 kids were racing through a 45mph zone. An elderly gentleman pulled out not gauging their speed correctly and all but got T boned.

That's really been the biggest adjustment for me. The way the car puts on speed is obviously way different, but how that translates to running up on traffic and how much less space is needed for things to get out of hand is somewhat unsettling.

I am not surprised. Since it is starting to be widespread they are dropping the hammer. You don't want to be the one they make an example out of. Back in the 70's it was teens being killed by drinking and driving. A young man not far from my house came home one night drunk. He ended up hitting a dip in the road and flew in the air hitting a power pole in his front yard. He died. He had a little black/Silver Ford Maverick.

LOL, my car is stupid coming up on traffic. I normally only get about 2 seconds on throttle to pass someone. Spool up the turbo's and let off. It is normally right beside the car I am passing I am letting off. It takes some getting use too. You have to look up and see what is going on way ahead of you. The car can outrun your brain if you are not careful.

Spooler 05-27-2021 01:01 PM

The BoostJunkie needs his fix..... It has been a hard 2 months at work. I am ready to go for a drive but NO car...... SOB!!!!!
