Noop, Brian at MA can make whatever I want. He has skills. Not too worried about it at the moment. If I really get crazy he can make me
all new 3 in. piping out of Titanium. It will cost a mint though.

Only reason I asked was because you mentioned that getting a custom IC is becoming a pain in the arse. I thought you were having problems getting one made. Seb was going to have his fabricator make one for my sc build with the Bell core before I decided to go tt

I really want to see what happens first and where it starts to get out of control. We can turn it back down then and I will address it later.

Well, let me start by saying this. If you want a built motor that will hold, get with Mazworx or SOHO. My old motor was pretty much toast. The only thing I could reuse is the JWT C2 Cams and ATI damper. The rest of it was garbage except for the Rods. I had Carrillo A beam rods before that I am not reusing. So, if you want to be stupid, Cheap out and not build a proper motor. Listen to all the know it alls on Facebook that don't know chit. I just chunked a 12k engine in the garbage. For all the folks who think they know best. Good luck. It's not gonna end well. Take it or leave it. I will not talk about it again. You have this whole thread full of research to read.

So my
Open deck built for 900hp won’t hold with Juke head bolts.

Nah brah, I saw this guy on Facebook who said his 1200HP open deck motor held with Juke bolts and 6 oz of Loctite 242.

Who ya gonna trust, 'Trailblazin' Spool' or some guy who told you what some other guy said on the 'Book?

Believe whatever you want. I am done. I never signed up to be a trailblazer. Just someone trying to get his engine to live so I can have fun. That's all.

Well, not much longer and I will be turning it up. The only limiting factor will be turbo's. Guess we shall see where it lands in the next few weeks. Mark at Mazworx says I can run 40psi of boost, no problem. That would be fun.

12k for a nice coffee table (plus the cost for a piece of glass). I think IKEA sells coffee tables for a bit less. :happydance:

Hard lesson to learn, you’ve definitely paid a steep price to be the first to push this platform so far (reliably).

Yup.

And not just bookface, just people in general.

Idiocracy is the most terrifying horror movie ever made bc it was 100% true. :ugh2:

Spooler 05-02-2021 12:00 AM

Oil change completed and new air filters installed. I cleaned the old ones and have them ready for next time. I hate waiting on the darn things to dry so I bought a spare set. Oil looked good. No issues. Ready for another 2k miles.

Nah, throw that chit in the recycle bin. I did get 7k miles and a chit load of fun.

Spooler 05-05-2021 02:57 PM

Next phase is up and running. Trying to work on traction issues. 900whp is no joke. It is a skating Mofo. New tires going on, etc.

Spooler 05-07-2021 02:04 PM

Guess I will be getting a new set of coil packs. Mine have 86k on them. Might as well.

Getting the new HO Z1 coil packs. Testing that was done on a video i posted on here show that the GTR and 370z coil pack outputs are the same.

OEM 370z and OEM GTR have the same output.

Spooler 05-07-2021 02:26 PM

I will go back and find the testing video later.

redondoaveb 05-07-2021 02:29 PM

I saw those Z1 coil packs today. Thinking about picking up a set myself

I will give Z1 a shot. They may work like a champ.

I am not going to say they will not work, but most aftermarket coil packs do not deliver and for me I don't see any reason to not go with the GTR coil packs since they have been are proven commodity. All things be equal, I hope the Z1 coil packs are the $hit.

Yes, I was already looking at new 370z coil packs since mine have 87k on them.

I only have 55k on mine but she is 11 years old. It is one of the reasons Seb didn't want to push my motor more than he did. He likes the GTR coils for good reason. I just did a search and Amazon has the Hitachi r35 coils for $20 cheaper per coil than Z1 or Concept Z. I may pick up a set.
