(No need to have the side bars on for normal driving). It's OK for a bolt in. I went with the RPM primarily because Brian at MA-Motorsports wouldn't be able to fabricate a custom one until this coming winter again. Fortunately I don't need to have the seat racked all of the way back so it's not too cramped. One drawback is that it further reduces the already very slim view out the back, making it difficult to back up or even see traffic behind you. A custom roll bar could be fabricated to minimize this by bringing the top hoop forward. I'm considering getting a rear view mirror with the rear camera feature - or going with a Pioneer H/U that has the rear camera feature. Side note here ... I went to the dragstrip and the Inspector told me that NHRA had changed the rules recently and that I didn't need the roll bar until 10.0. He said that NHRA revamped and modernized the rules now that factory cars were running in the 11's and even faster. Next time to the strip and a different Inspector didn't mention the rules changes. Worth checking it out.

Forgot to add...
The cost quoted to me by Daelen for a custom rollbar by MA-Motorsports would be in the neighborhood of $3500 and $4000. The cost of the RPM was $2100+ and an additional $1700+ for the installation by MA. So - no benefit going with the prefab RPM over the custom MA-M one except for the time savings.

I’d like to be able to join you & don’t forget the “Texas-Mile”
Unsure if any Z’s have recorded a 1 mile run there? I’m hoping by this time next year,I’ll have something to bring along as well ![]()

It would be cool as hell if we could get SOHO, Dynasty, Specialty Z, MA Motorsports, CJ Motorsports, and Fast Intentions to come out for TX2K. Just bombard them with 10 to 15 TT'd 370z's. We gotta figure out a way to make this happen February 2020. I am in.

PFT??? or PT. When I was in Somalia, I use to watch the Marines do PT every morning. Mt. Dew in hand smoking a Marlboro in my lounge chair. LOL When the Mt. Dew ran out it was coffee.

Processed out from Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Base and headed to Travis AFB California for discharge. But before I left NKP I had to get some go home innoculations and sign off from the dispensary. At that time I received 2 GG shots - one in each arm. What's a GG shot, you ask? Gamma Globulin it is and it forms a large lump just under your skin and hurts like all get out for at least a day until your system absorbs it. You are only supposed to get 1 GG shot -and- it's supposed to be in your buttocks - not your arms. Needless to say I couldn't move my arms for a day or so ... making it near impossible to put my uniform on and even carry my duffle bag to the C-130 to Bangkok. Would find out later that the tech that [purposely] gave a double dose of GG was having a particularly bad day and was pissed off at the world. I think he may have checked one too many peckers on the VD line. And so it was in SEA back in the Vietnam War era. Fond memories of my time in the Air Force
