How did your car turn out after your tune? Did you get it all ready to go this year?

New mod list to look at doing for 1/2 mile events.

1.) Upgrading to slicks, 15in or 17in. Leaning toward the 17in because I will not have to swap out rear brakes to the smaller base model brakes. Skinnies for the front.

2.) Raising my car up a little in the rear, changing rear springs, and setting camber to 0 deg. I need the car to be level at full tilt. It is lifting the front end to high at the moment. I will lower the front some too.

3.) I need motorsport grade traction control. I am upgrading to a Motec M150. I will also get boost by gear, true flat foot no lift shifting, and launch control.

4.) The input shaft on our transmissions is not going to take it. It is going to snap like a twig. So, I will be upgrading to a Hollinger Sequential. True flat foot shifting will work like a charm.

5.) I will have to retune due to the Motec. I will retune with Ignite Red. I will easily gain 60hp or more if I raise the Max boost level.

6.) I need an better intake. I will be upgrading to the CJ Motorsports billet intake and larger CAC.

7.) Installing a RPM rollbar, Recaro Halo seat, and 6 point harness.

8.) Aero, I will be installing Finite Element design front fender vents, Exhaust turndowns, and a real custom built diffuser. I may install a small splitter to balance out the aero.

9.) Since you can't do a burnout at some half mile events I will be getting tire warmers. Sticky Tires, Check....

10.) Almost forgot. I will be looking at upgrading to a OG 3.3 diff. I should be able to run 189mph in 5th.

Talk to me about the M150 - I have one spare with license for VitViper code package. I find myself with 2 x M150 and one can go ....

You will love the Holinger as well .... you need an RD6SS and NOT the SG3

They are not easy to build properly. Keep at it.

Spooler 12-07-2019 02:45 PM

I tell ya what. Seeing several people try to hit my HP level and failing is kinda an eye opener. This is no doubt making me re-consider my changes. If I get greedy, it may cost me my motor. I built/Tuned my car right on the limit of what I thought was reliable. What to do, What to do. I really like it just the way it is. I may only do some of the stuff on my list. I need more time to think about it.

What is the difference between the two? My shop can get and install one. I got the price from them. They are not cheap at all.

Ah it is the TQ they can support.

SG3:
Torque rating for endurance events is 625Nm (460ft.lb).

RD6:
Torque rating for endurance events is 880Nm (650ft.lb).

Things of beauty. On my sportbikes I only ever used the clutch to put it in gear. after that it was all matching revs and snicking it in. Especially on the race track. Even did it on the Road Kings just because I could.

Roll off the throttle, click next gear, roll on the throttle.

If you have a push button kill switch. Keep throttle wide open. Push button down, click next gear gear, release button.

Holinger actually uses this.

Shift Cut Gear Knobs

Martijn_b 12-10-2019 12:26 PM

I use a quick shifter on the track. Wouldnt want to ride without it anymore.

I wonder what kind of water you use for your tree. My little asparagus just doesn’t wanna grow much taller. Lol

Some of y’all aren’t in rabbit holes no more, more like in a different time dimension, floating somewhere around the universe.

It just occured to me that using uncut wet slicks might be cheaper than tyre-warmers ......

I use these for hillclimbs and they grip from the off.

Pirelli do a wet compound slick in 305/680R18 for instance.

Difference between rabbit hole and black hole.

With the rabbit hole. As you are going down. When you turn your head and look over your shoulder. You can still see daylight.

The black hole. Going down the rabbit hole. Once you pass the event horizon, When you look over your shoulder. Everything is black. Your credit card is molten, pile of smoking plastic, your bank is empty, and the money tree is dead.

Spooler 12-10-2019 10:24 PM

I am still in the Rabbit hole. LMAO... I gave up the black hole craziness a long time ago when I got married.
