Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and just send it. See

I always wanted a CJ Motorsport intake. It's sick.

I have a ton of data. I am still debating on what I am going to do with it. Share it or not. It has cost a mint to get it.

Spooler 08-14-2023 12:11 PM

I will share a little bit here.

My drive pressure ratio with my current turbos.

42 psi emap
23psi of boost from MAP sensor

42/(23+14.7) = 1.11 ratio

I am golden. 1.50 is the get nervous point where it shows I need larger turbos. You can go higher but it is not wise.

EGT's showed no restriction in the Fast Intentions exhaust manifolds.

The highest the IAT's got was 116deg. That is in a 95 deg shop and after 5 pulls on the dyno. It never got any higher. It's dead on the money. The front bumper was on the car.

I did 870whp at 23psi of boost. I can go higher but no need to share here.

Spooler 08-14-2023 07:17 PM

The intercooler size was dead on the money. 28x12x4.5

Going to the larger 1.06 exhaust housings was a wise move. My engine wanted them. It revs even faster now and the drive pressure is real good. Whoever says use the .82AR exhaust housings needs to be kicked in the nuts. With the ported heads and larger valves that is a definite NO.

Drivability testing is under way. Got to check the rolling antilag out also.

Spooler 08-25-2023 05:18 PM

Getting closer. Rolling Anit-lag is working off the Cruise cancel button.

Spooler 08-28-2023 09:03 PM

Just about done. Driveability testing is done. Waiting for a part to come in. One last thing to do.

Spooler 09-10-2023 01:45 PM

Ecutek can't do this.

My Z34 has an M150 which we are progressively implementing tunable traction control - I have a rotary switch on my steering wheel to alter the permissible slip percentage.

This allows tuning of traction regardless of grip levels (eg: when we are racing in full wet conditions all the way thru a wet track drying out to a damp track to full dry).

The Motec traction strategy is pretty good.

Emtron just went to TQ based launch/traction control.
