I did that two years ago when they first came out. Figured I would give them a try. Welp, that didn't work out. I am not going to VR38 coils. I am going back to stock. The test that were done on the VQ37Vhr coilpacks and VR38 coilpacks there was not much difference. They were both excellent. The video is post in this thread somewhere from Motive Video on Youtube. They tested a bunch of coilpacks.

The car is back up and running with no missing issues. Factory Nissan coilpacks for the win. Be back at it next week. Was checking the tune at 17psi of boost on the dyno.

Don't waste your time/money trying to install R35 coilpacks in the 370z. They are the same, the only difference is the stalk length. Dwell tables for all 3.

Car is running excellent. It made 870whp at 23psi of boost with only 15deg of timing. The max IAT's were 116deg in a 95deg shop after the 5th pull which is very good. I kept my same turbo's and installed the 1.06AR exhaust housings. The engine loves them. It is not laggy at all. Will be fine tuning it there. I do not see any reason to turn it up on the dyno anymore. I have the data I need. When I made 900whp at 25psi of boost at RT tuning the IAT's were 158deg. Way too hot to the point I couldn't use it. The turbo kit is now extremely efficient with the upgrades we made.

Just to get on everyone's nerves. LOL
That had to go. It was getting on my nerves. It has been interesting to see folks come and go to read the thread on what I have been up too. Last edited by Spooler; 07-13-2023 at 12:52 PM. |

With all the anal probes you have stuffed in other holes and places. You should have plenty of crap to go through.
