Sorry to say that the Motec display / logger in my car is (although pretty) little more than a glorified shift light.
At last check, since Ray Shake left MA-M before finishing my car, there isn't anyone there that can program it.
I did take it to the closest Motec dealer (in New York State specializing in Hondas) once I got it back to N.J. - They turned down the job saying that I would also need the Motec computer and the Motec sensors to make it fully functional.
In addition, since the Motec system is highly specialized, the tune would also have to be done by a qualified Motec tuner.
I did find and check with a Motec tuner (JR Barrios- affiliated with Prime Motoring in Wallington N.J. who specializes in Subaru's) and the tune would start in the neighborhood of $2,000 or more - and would take a couple of days on the dyno to complete.
JR is a race tuner and has some impressive credentials with Subarus ... but you may be hard pressed to find a Motec tuner with similar credentials for the 370Z.
JR Tuning does set up appointments and travels the country to just do tunes.
This info that I've just shared is almost a year old now, and unfortunately, haven't had my car back on the road for any length of time since then.

Vit viper can tune motec for the 370z since he created the firmware.

They would be correct. A custom Motec ECU package would be needed to get full use of the display. I am not sure if this could be integrated into Vit's package. To upgrade to the Motec ECU would be 10k and I am sure it would be extra to accommodate the C125 display. Custom work like this is not cheap. Finding someone that will do it is even harder. The C125 is cool as it is in your car.

Have you looked at the dash set up software. I know it is complex (maybe over complex as the Motec developers are real nerds), but if you are not prepared to have a crack your self, then you have a couple of choices .... Vitaly (VitViper) who now works for Motec North America or Sasha Anis at OnPoint Dyno in Toronto, plus whoever you can find locally.

Measured the FI intercooler today since my bumper is off, 708.75 cubic in. New CJ Motorsports intercooler, 1333.8 cubic in. It is in the works.

I have been poking around and looking at GTR intercoolers. Looks like 900whp is the mark to upgrade on them. Makes sense that I will need to.

What's the core size of the cjm?

Not quite is big. We are limited on space.

4.5 in. thick. We are limited on the height.

Yep, I remember the height issue when I was thinking of upgrading. That 4.5" core is beefy :tup: I was looking at Bell cores

Looked at Bell and Garrett. Garrett's size selection is limited.

You know what they say about dudes with big intercoolers right?



(They have lower IATs). :p

Another person to consider contacting is Brian Lock who owns Valkyrie Autosports. He used to frequent the forum years ago. He races both a 370z and GTR in NASA endurance races. He uses Motec in both cars. I know he did a complete harness rebuild for the 370z to work with Motec but has recently added Motec to his GTR using the factory harness and and the additional connecting boxes to totally integrated into the Motec steering wheel. It is pretty much plug and play for the GTR. There is an article about it last months Speed News published by NASA.
