I will shoot over some pictures later today via DM on Instagram.

Be careful with the material you use for the tie-down. I picked up one of those ZSpec billet aluminum battery tie downs a number of years ago and it was close enough to the battery terminals that it was significantly corroded within days.

This is a sealed battery. Not sure what kind of cheap battery you had. Did you buy it used off of Craigslist?

I found it in the parking lot. Why do you ask?

Enjoying the battery so far. It cranks super fast. My old battery was done. Glad I bought it.

10 years ago I could have never been excited about an expensive battery or a new bag of socks. With wisdom you learn to appreciate the simple things. :tiphat:

If we get them powder coated or anodized, I suspect that should resolve any concerns like that by removing conductivity from the surface.

Phunk, did you ever get your new Twin pump with surgetank setup finished? Boy I need one.

Phunk, I had to move the battery all the way to the front so the tie down would hit the battery like the stock battery for it to hold. I barely got it to tighten down. I would make one that way I know it won't go anywhere.

Reverse the tie down

Well, Nitish21 on Instagram just popped his headgaskets and is pushing coolant. One of the guys I tried to help. Ain't that a bitch. It was the guy Boosted Performance posted about making 886whp on a DE. That motor didn't last a month.

Martijn_b 11-09-2020 02:43 PM

Thats really sad to hear. Do you have some info on the build? Open / closed deck? Stock head stud size? Type of gasket?
