The deal isn't necessarily about driving a balanced car but more about the modern technology that limits the driver engagement, input and being connected to the car. Every person that wants to drive the car at its limit wants the best drivable car which also includes the drivers ability to handle that car at the limit. Most race cars handle like crap on the street because you can't get them fast enough for the suspension to work correctly and then the car will still be a handful because your driving to either the cars limit or your limit.

The bottom line is the Z is a drivers car. The nannies on it are for Sunday cruisers not for those that want more. The nannies limit the cars capabilities and will try and kill you if driven hard. Most all professionals and competent non proffesionals prefer a car with all the nannies turned off.

Which reminds me. I got to cut the Yaw sensor wires and hook them to my switch in the console when I get my car back.

Noop, it has never bothered me on the street. I don't let the car get that out of shape. I do run with Traction control turned off all the time. I don't run the Ecuteck traction control either.

It hasn't been much of an issue with both VDC and Ecutek turned off and off so I hadn't bothered with it. Ecutek ain't Motec but it is loads better than VDC on especially in the rain.

ah ok, ya I turn those damn things off. I don't mind that it's not unplugged, more buttons I have to push to get her ready makes it feel even more like the cockpit she is ;)

Spooler 08-20-2020 09:04 AM

I may not get tuned this week. Communications has been minimal. Ugg!!!!! Waiting in a line you can't see sucks.
