I am not tryin to promote these guys nor am I sponsored, I’ve had a pleasant experience with em and just sharing info...Here’s their instagram pic of a block. https://imgur.com/a/VoZOFrj
And here’s a vid of the machine shop they send all their stuff too. Spooler I totally felt your pain on the waiting aspect. Took me over a year to even get my engine to start the process at Jons facility. https://www.instagram.com/p/B3NDs02HhFJ/ |
Another good video to watch. This may have been why my headgaskets cut loose. 700ft/lb of tq at 4550rpm. It is talked about in the vlog. Different engine but same principle.

To my G37 yeah...all major engine work was at Jon Kaase to little things like porting to assembly to the o-ring, and all the random secret squirrel stuff they don’t tell anyone about.

I’m completely content on where I’m at now. I’m not tryin to go for the moon or anything. We stopped at 21psi bc I told em I didn’t want to worry about the stock upper plenum deforming. I did a lot of road courses when I was stationed on the east coast, VIR & Road Atlanta were my go to’s. With that Spooler definitely get the Stoptech BBK you’ve been wanting it’s great...brake fade on track days is pretty much non existent, best thing I ever did...well next to my KW V3s. Now being on the West coast, currently in San Diego, a lot of my buddies do 1/2 mile events...which brought me into the black hole of the motor/twins build. Spooler sorry if this is derailing ur thread never meant to, reading thru this entire thread I saw you talking about how no one really shares shiz on here about high power builds and felt obligated to do so. If you guys want more info pls just pm me. |
All my funds will be going toward a motor build eventually. I am not too worried about the brakes at the moment. I am taking my time. The car may be garaged for a year. Who knows what will happen. I am not getting in a hurry. I don't want to do this again anytime soon.

Don’t be discouraged on how long it takes. It took me damn near 11 years to get to this point, bought the car in April of 2009. The long journey allowed me to learn from ppl to do the build I did now. Most importantly save enough for the build and a oh crap fund if anything happened.

Side note my best friend threw a rod on a IPP stage 2 motor, granted he was hooning/drifting it a bit so that probably lead to its demise. This was about a year ago, he’s waiting to see how this motor is before doing another build. Told em to go cough up 50k and go billet everything. |
