Worked with Kevin at FI and Xonarotor. Max BHP for my turbo's are 610 BHP a turbo. So 1220bhp is the max my turbos can support. I am currently at 1150bhp. Only 70 bhp left. With the 2 mods that we did I am right inline with what the max of my current turbo's are. That's really good for what I have.
|
So, I am out of turbo. I am right at the limit of my compressor wheel and turbine. I can put my larger exhaust housing on and try to get 70whp more or just leave it alone. I'll have to think on that.

I think I am done. I will fix what is wrong and consider turning it down a little. I don't see anyone gifting me a new set of turbo's nor would I ask them too. Those are my thoughts at the moment. It is time for someone else to lead the way.

My Stage 2.5 turbo's are now called the Stage 2 turbo's. What get's me is Moses's car (aka Carbon Z) with the larger stage 3 turbo's and a 4.0 stroker motor only made a little bit more whp than me. Explain that one. |

But Spooler has the Fast Intentions stage 2 turbos they use to call the stage 2.5 but have since changed that. There 55mm compressor wheel and 57mm Turbine wheel rated at 640HP per turbo 61lb/min max per turbo these are specs taken from Xona site. The Fast Intentions stage 3 have 58mm Compressor wheel and 64mm turbine wheel and are rated for 690hp on Xona site and in there PDF catalog it's 680hp with a max flow of 65lb/Min. With a bigger wheel size on both the compressor and turbine wheel the bigger ones will flow better and be more efficient generated less heat. There is only a handful of Z's that have the stage 3 turbos on there cars ever |

Who's knows is there even a dyno graph of this car ? I wonder how many pounds of boost so variables not enough data to go off of. |

There is a Youtube video of it on Fast Intentions Youtube channel. |
I got a couple of more tricks up my sleeve but that info will not be shared.

Found it two key things I picked up in that video 1. it's on Forge Performance dyno dynamics that dyno has always been known to read low. It's been that way since the 350'z days way back to 2003. Also his car has a GTR manifold that is well known on our cars to loose power. I would be willing to bet for those reason right there alone that's why it's not a big difference from what you made on a dynojet. |

That is still pretty pitiful that he only made that with a 4.0 liter stroker motor and larger turbos.

Parting the car out and sending her to the scrap heap. Back to bone stock she goes. Don't ask for any of the parts, they will be recycled. Off to buy a C7 ZR1 Corvette. Picking her up this weekend.

Well chit, back to work. I was having such a good time too. Ugg.

That's some pretty juicy HP right there. :yum:
Alright Spooler, I gotta ask. Mod for Mod why didn't you go with a more potent platform? From how it reads, you know you'd be hanging with the giants with a different car. So why choose what many would consider a inferior platform to burn money with? For me its about punching up and taking down giants, one day at least. Idk if its the same for you (underdog smoking monsters), or something else. I'm generally curious, only because I can guess you could afford a better platform for your aspirations and goals. So, why the Z? Your Z is a bad bish btw not taking anything away from that. |

I am a Z person. That's it. Here is what I have owned. Nothing like a Z. 1974 1/2 260z 1983 280zx 2+2 1978 280z 1980 280zx 1975 280z Turbo, (I still own it.) 1987 300zx turbo 1990 300zxTT 2012 370z Nismo (Totaled) 2013 370ztt Nismo (Current car) |
And Yes, I am getting to be an old fart. I don't give a chit. I have never driven anything that makes me want to drive more than a Z.
Yes, I get people asking me if that is my son's car all the time. LMAO!!!! |
Back in the 80's you could drive a Z flat out all the way from Georgia to Texas with no problems. My car loved it. In a Corvette, Camaro, and sometimes a Mustang, they would be running like dog chit when they got their. Motors would be done. That is why I love Z's so much. Back in the 70's, 80's, and 90's American made didn't mean chit. The C7 Corvette is the first Corvette that was worth a crap.
