Waiting to see if we can find some 3in. air filters before we make the 3in intake pipes. Still looking. If we can't get them in a timely manner I will send it with just the new intercooler.

I emailed AFE for a status on my order to get an idea of how long the wait is going to be.

The AFE email was quite comical....... No end in site. They are months away.

If they are getting materials from China. It's going to be a long while. They have major flooding and covid lock downs happening all over again. We have vendors switching from China to India and other parts of south east Asia.

They didn't tell me that. Sounds like it is made in the USA.

We, like most US manufactures, are facing serious shortages in raw materials and staffing. This has caused some of our production dates to be changed or pushed back and our team is working diligently to get caught up. We currently do not have assigned production date. Our priority is always to make the items most needed based on age of orders and demand. I will work with production team to get a more definitive date for your order to ship.

AFE is based California and the make their own stuff. I have purchased a number of their products for my truck.

Me too, I run the ProGuard Media 7 on my truck.

I am going to give it until Friday to find a quality 3in. Filter so I can do the 3in intake pipes to turbo. If I can't find them, I will be going back with the 2.5in FI ones. This is something I will need to do at a later date.
I don't want to wait any longer. LOL..... I need my fix.

Sitting on the porch again while everyone is going to do 1/2 mile racing at Shift Sector in Indiana. This sucks....... Wish I could have made it up. Oh well, next time.

I am ready to turn the monster loose to see what else I need to work on. Missing all these events just delays the fine tuning of the suspension, etc. I know I will need a tire to get better traction. I want to see what happens first.

Yup, I know I have more fine tuning to do to be able to get every ounce out of my car. I need testing time to get it dialed in. Rear wheels and tires, diff change if it is needed, rear subframe mods, CJ Motorsports new twin pump surge tank setup, Brake upgrade, 6 point roll bar, race seat upgrade and harness, helmet and Hans device for my freaking neck, and finally what the heck I am going to do with the trans. Do I really want to push it this far? I am not sure yet. Just going to figure it out as I go. One thing at a time.

Spooler, not sure if you're looking for something specific but you can pickup both AEM and K&N 3" ID filters on Amazon.

I don't do Amazon.

K&N Filters are ordered with plenty in stock thank goodness.

Why? You coulda found the K&N filters a week ago when I mentioned it.

Old school I guess. Too many folks that will rip you off. Just like Flea Bay.

In the long run, this could be a blessing in disguise if it results in more shifting manufacturing etc both back home as well as other countries like India. Never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket.

Those raw materials probably come from China though.

Well, one day I will get back out to a 1/2 mile event. For me it is all about having fun. We all want our cars to do well. That is a given. I just don't care for all the other BS that comes with it.

Gonna have to put a tire on the rear to get it done also. To run those trap speeds is not gonna happen on an R888r. Can't leave off the 4 point roll bar. That will be required also.

I am sure Nathan was worn out at the end of the day. When the car is a handful it will beat you down. 1/2 mile stuff is difficult due to traction issues. You have to drive around it and after a while it wears on you.

I think I saw he made 5-6 passes, and fighting traction issues for most, if not all of them. I bet it was a long day, but that thing was movin:happydance:

Wow…didn’t know that. I saw that Dave wiped out in the G35. Not sure who was driving but the display board had Dave’s name on it. SOHO also posted up the wipe out but stated nothing was damaged thankfully. I believe on his last run the turbo went out

Just got a set of 17in Welds and MT Street R tires. Got to go pick them up sometime soon.

I never found when David was mowing the grass. All Good.
