No. To use the flex fuel sensor you would have to disable some evap codes and so the EVAP monitor would also be disabled. The EVAP monitor is required to be in either INCOMPLETE or COMPLETE state. N/A state indicates disabled codes and the vehicle will fail smog.

Aside from using a flex fuel sensor, there are other learning approaches that could be implemented using the ecutek custom programming language to determine ethanol content directly from combustion results, thus not requiring the need for a flex fuel sensor. There are multiple ways to handle flex fuel, each approach has its advantages/disadvantages.

Yeah, that's my issue right now. My evap monitor shows incomplete. My car is a 2017 and my ecu doesn't have the same (RAM) capabilities as the older years. I wonder if flex fuel programming could be done through my ecu.

It's actually not so much the ecu, it's the firmware that takes up more space leaving less room for the custom programming framework. I recently did one and I used every single table/variable that was available to implement my custom airflow modeling and fail-safes. Have you tried running an older version of the firmware? In theory, it should work fine if you could find a firmware that wouldn't trigger DTCs.

You're right about the firmware, I didn't know the correct terminology. I haven't tried an older version, that's an interesting idea though.

Could someone please give me the part # or a link to the exact air filter used in this kit?

The one I have from the accident is all dirty.
It has an insane amount of dirt in there it turned literally almost black.
I hit it against the cement trying to shake the dirt out about 500+ times and it is still really dirty.

I don't want to buy the K&N cleaning kit because it cost like $15, whereas I rather just buy a brand new one of these filters.

Please and thank you if someone has a link or part number for it.

Yea 6-8 hours would be my best guess once you get used to it. You’ll get good at removing belt and blower, but manifold work and getting couplers on snug will be a pia. The guy who helped me (he’s on here somewhere) switched his out for emissions. He didn’t complain much about it but takes time. But it’s easy to do and avoid issues
But i’m about to be at the same crossroad with evap wire for flex fuel. Got ticketed for car too loud already i’m concerned they could have tipped me off for emissions suspecting modified exhaust. So that’s another fun step...

Been successful in sleeper mode so far. Will probably be keeping my Z quiet to avoid drawing unnecessary attention.

Dynoday on the heartbreak dyno (any dyno in Colorado). 402 corrected, 337 actual @7.88psi of boost. I know I’d pick up another 1.5psi or so at sea level, not sure if that’s corrected in? Hoping for another 100 or so on e85. Emissions looked great so could probably throw a little more fuel, lmk what you think.
He also noticed my dirty filter from belt dust and said he’s seen people pick up 2lbs switching to a screenguard.

Were you suggesting getting rid of your filter or just pointing out reasons for possible low boost? If your filter stopped a bunch of belt dust from entering your engine, I definitely keep it!

No more so low boost from elevation. Can’t say I haven’t seen people run the screen guard filter

Default Belt slippage?

Check out what my car's doing. Boost completely drops off at 6000 rpm. I sure hope it's just belt slippage.

I have a hard time believing this is elevation issues. I had mine there making 490whp on 10psi.

Stock pulleys? Only thing I’ve changed up is impeller. Logs and dyno dont really look like slip to me. Idk how likely i am to be leaking. Would a tbatt kit not work as well on stock pulleys?
Will definitely be changing up pulleys next year but for now trying to enjoy newfound boost. Sure puts some pressure on quite fast cars
