Is this ready to bolt on and run out of the box? Any other necessaries other than a tran upgrade for a 7at?

Is there a trick to getting the tensioner on after putting on a new 8 rib belt, or vice versa getting tensioner/belt? Heat the belt?

quick question, has anyone run this setup at the track? what kind of results have you seen in terms of track performance and oil temps?

For those who installed this kit themselves... How many hours is the install the first time. And... estimate on doing it a second time.
Trying to get an estimate of time required if I need to swap back and forth every other year.
And... would a engine/tranny swap be faster? Would be cherry picker out the front rather than drop.

i'm curious.....why would you need to swap back and forth from SC back to NA then back to SC?

It would probably be easier to have two different Z's, one NA and one SC ... unless you just really like the labor :ugh:

I would also like to know the level of skill required for this, as I have enough miles on my clutch now to move ahead. I don't think I'm so concerned about the S/C part of the install as the fuel upgrades. I've read through the CJM .pdf file two or three times, and having never done anything like this before, just can't quite visualize what I might be getting myself into. I have done basic repairs on cars, and have a good set of tools, but never anything like this.

There is a speed shop near where I live with experience installing s/c's and turbos, but I'd rather not pay the labor if this is something that's relatively straightforward, and just an investment in time. I'd also like the satisfaction that I installed it myself, if at all possible...but not at the cost of getting in over my head!

I'd appreciate some honest evaluations of skill level and time. Thanks!

Being that he mentioned every other year and he lives in California it's got to be related to smogging the car for registration.
