Help! P006A code / limp mode on twin turbo setup

Ok so I have had this code pop up on a consistent basis: P006a. I clear it and the code comes back after about 50 miles or so. The car even clears the code itself (upon startup) but it will come back after driving sometime

I am on the Gtm/gamma v3 setup and have stock MAF sensors and UpRev custom tune

I have encountered limp mode 6 times over the span of about 1-2 month. I have to pull over to side of the road/freeway. The car does not want to go passed 2.5-3k RPMS. Limp mode goes away after 1 or 2 start ups and the car drives fine (until the car goes limp )

Now, it is occurring more frequently and it happened 2 times on a 25 mile commute to work. I have had it.

I have an appointment/ride along with my tuner tomorrow. They believe it’s a MAF issue (erratic readings or voltage?)

Has anyone else had a similar issue and will getting the upgraded MAF sensors solve this issue?

Please any input would be appreciated, greatly.
Thanks in advance!

Are you still on the GTM base map? Mine had a lot of issues that went away after I let an actual tuner redo everything.

Ahh I forgot to put that: I’m on a custom uprev tune.

My first guess was to take them out and clean them

I will have the shop /tuner clean them tomorrow when j get there. I would do it today but I’m working late tonight

Hoping that will solve the issue.

I think you may just have to turn the codes off.

that's the MAP sensor code, you have to turn it off on all forced induction cars. otherwise as soon as the car registers positive manifold pressure it will go into limp mode. this will have to be done by the original tuner.

This. GTM's base maps leave it on and you need your tuner to turn it off if he used their map as a starting point. Although, I never had limp mode when that code popped.

IIRC he found the problem - it was a popped off IC pipe I think. I don't think he remembered to update this thread.
