Hey... have you, or will you be using this gauge to tell your ECU what the E% is? Seb has told me I still need an ECA-2 for ECUTEK. But this gauge will output an analog 0-5v (0-100%E) signal. How are you handling the flex tune/E% with your ECU? Are you buying additional electronics beyond what the ecb-1 comes with?

To be honest, I don't have an answer to any of those questions right now. Since I've got an issue right now with ecutek not supporting my ecu I've just put everything else on hold until I can get a base tune installed. That's something I'll have to discuss with Seb when I take it in for the full tune.

Just curious... why have a full time ethanol content gauge? Ecutek can display ethanol content on the oil temp gauge if you need to check it. Is there a reason you'd want to know all the time?

I ask because I am discussing my E85 upgrade with Seb as well, and I am currently planning to run just the sensor with no gauge.

I just wanted a few different gauges. Water temp, oil pressure, afr and boost. I found a combo water temp/oil pressure gauge and the innovate ecb-1. It's got afr and boost. It just so happens to have ethanol content too. I didn't need it, but what the hell, it came with it. Now I've got everything I want in two gauges.

For me, I am also hoping I don't need to order more flex fuel hardware. This gauge comes with O2 sensor, manifold pressure sensor, flex fuel sensor, and the gauge itself can output e% content via 0-5v analog output (needed by ECU). If you're going flex, you need all those things, and they just happen to be part of a nice gauge.

Seb says Ill still need an ECA-2, but haven't seen why Id need that yet. Just FYI. He's also not a fan of the o2 sensor that comes with the gauge.

I've already got the ECA-2 installed so I won't be using the sensor supplied with the ECB-1 gauge. I agree with you, the ECB-1 should take the place of the ECA-2. My ECA-2 was ordered prior to me purchasing the ECB-1.

Just in case you color match it - look up Lee Gels- Terry Red (color).. Matches the oem quite nicely https://www.flickr.com/photos/159810.../shares/yF3k28

Reviving this thread. Did anyone get anymore clarification if the ECA-2 is needed even though the ECB-1 has an ethanol sensor? I'm planning to run the Innovate SCG-1 gauge for boost and AFR and possibly the MTX-D for ethanol content with the sensor.
