I am definitely offended Kyle.. I have been pressuring the **** out of you guys for a while now and I don't plan on stopping... I guess I'm taking my business elsewhere!!! lol... but seriously, thanks for humoring us with the late February (2010) comment...

On a more serious note: are you taking orders for the custom twin screw supercharger that I believe one of you mentioned would be way easier?!!?!?!?!? I want a new CF hood so....do I make an appointment or what?! lol..

Well, one more day down.. That much closer to the end of February, beginning of March... I'm foaming at the mouth

^ I am so confused.

Have you finally gone completely insane waiting for this kit?

insanity might be close lol... I re-read it and maybe its a bad thing that it makes sense to me??

The first paragraph was a comment that started in the past couple days when someone mentioned that it was never stated as to what year it would be released... then Kyle earlier today made it clear that he was talking about 2010 and I chuckled so I thought it was worth mentioning (probably not though lol, thanks for pointing that out) and also it was about Kyle offending me with his paragraph that was prefaced with

in a later statement.

The second paragraph may have been my misunderstanding ... I thought he was talking about a twin screw set up which from what I have read sounds amazing, but I'm a newb..

I think that last paragraph is pretty self explanatory...I'm not literally foaming at the mouth (yet), but very close...

Sorry for taking up so much space and posting so much.. I hope this clears things up a little... but to summarize it all.. I am pumped! Thanks

edit: I hope I made it clear that I'm not really offended at all... I know this internet can make things hard to interpret at times and so can my sarcastic *** way of typing..

Makes sense to me StillenZ, so at least you got someone with you on that crazy bus. I'm sure if you have the cash for CUSTOM work stillen would be more then happy to work with you when they have time.

I know what you mean. Polished engine parts belong on Motorcycles and show cars. I actually like the wrinkled powder coat look.

Few things ....

As far as not publishing numbers, i can respect waiting until the end to publish the final data. However i will continue to give you **** about it because i like to learn the tech side of things, and that comes more from trial and failure, not just seeing the final results.

The "ugly bracket" .... i would say make it match the mounting bracket that is used to stabilize the SC mounting plate. That way it looks more like a kit.

As far as intake manifold coating ... why would anyone want to cover up the aluminum? if you are modifying your car with a supercharger, you want more power right? why close up the pores in the aluminum and reduce the surface area losing possible cooling potential?

I think whether raw or wrinkle finish it won't make much difference on heat soak. As far as air temp the intercooler is inside the manifold and right before the air enters the heads. I think maybe the only thing that would help with heat soak would be something like a ceramic coating.

Currently it just has just the STILLEN CBE on the car. We also expect 99% of S/C owners to have an aftermarket exhaust..

More to come later on additional products beyond the CBE..

The powdercoating will not act as a heat soak or cause any additional issues with heat. I understand what you're saying about not covering the aluminum intake manifold and allowing the air to cool it down better but at the same time, there is virtually no external air flow at the top of the engine that would do a sufficient job in additional cooling. The air coming up there has already gone through all of the coolers, traveled around or over the engine block and managed to find its way to the top of the engine. By the time it gets to the intake manifold its ability to aid in cooling will be minimal.

EVERY supercharger manufacturer uses some sort of coating on their intake manifolds. It looks a lot better than leaving it just raw. Some people will definitely like the raw look but the vast majority will like the black powder coating or similar finish. But, there will absolutely not be a problem with heat soak or anything like that.
