Woot numbers tomorrow!

CinZinnati 03-11-2010 09:37 PM

Ah..this is indeed exciting.
Home equity = SC hehe
Seriously tho, how many will honestly be jumping on this right away? I would love updates if so. Unless they offer an intro price as kyle suggested, I will be looking at midsummer if all goes as planned.:happydance:

How long will the intro prices last?

Kyle@STILLEN 03-11-2010 09:52 PM

Yup...more power with less boost...keep in mind that original dyno was done on the auto gearbox g37 with the big show wheels.

Red370 03-11-2010 09:53 PM

ok, so you guys are going to show the power w/ the different stages factored in right? to see whats able to be gained with each upgrade?

I just don't recommend installing headers (shorty's or long tube's) until we have a chance to test it. We saw on the VQ35 supercharger that you could lose up to a pound of boost by installing headers. They did improve efficiency though so you would make more horsepower. It was a weird trade off but basically in the end you did not make any more power on the dyno. However, everyone who drove with that setup acknowledged that there was a definite improvement in throttle response.

Basically...We just don't recommend installing headers until we have the opportunity to test them for you.

You are correct. Superchargers continue building boost all the way to RPM redline. However, we have seen where installing headers can drop up to a pound of boost because of the reduction in back pressure.

No wrong impression given at all. It just seemed the talk of existing setups and this SC had gotten lost, and was just curious if I'm ok with the stillen CBE and HFC's. thanks for the info

i think they are never going to give the boost pressure. they are going to be like some wheel companies with off sets. lol

Z eliminator 03-12-2010 08:36 AM

I guess its a differnet compressor wheel in the vortec or a larger vortec SC,

CBRich 03-12-2010 08:51 AM

Kyle, I'm hoping maybe you'll start a new thread for the release as this one is screwed up now.
