Lol. So true.

G37Sam 01-20-2010 06:17 PM

hahahaha touché

I don't mind the bigger brother taking the beating for the smaller one ;)

travisjb 01-20-2010 07:58 PM

umm, you might just be outnumbered here, Sam ;)

Buddy Revell 01-20-2010 08:34 PM

LOL, G or Z who cares? We have the same engine, so whatever the kit's being developed on is good for everyone.

RCZ 01-20-2010 11:17 PM

^ we know..thanks for killing the fun though. You fun killing revell.

This will give an idea on the kind of numbers we can expect, although completely different car and engine, the base HP is about the same, and I'm assuming we will be running 6-10lbs of boost.

2010 Mustang GT, stock pull was 277 hp 299 torque after the Vortech V3 install 444 hp, 400 torque with 10lbs of boost. This was a warranty install with a safe tune.

Here is a video, different car, you can hear the sound of the V3, on a mustang,
hood is up though.

A Ford Mustang has a compression ratio of around 9.8 and a bigger displacement.. hmmm

RCZ 01-21-2010 08:14 AM

Yep, throws all the calculations off. Their 9.8:1 cr is completely different than our 11:1 cr. Based on that figure, we will make more hp per pound of boost introduced into the engine.

SeeyaBud86 01-21-2010 08:28 AM

Yup. I'm going to guess around 500ish for our kit. I guess we shall see soon because they are going to give an update on the G.

RCZ 01-21-2010 08:41 AM

My guess is 460 range for the race kit.

Keep in mind the '05 and '10 Mustang GT has a 4.6 liter V8. Quite far off from the VQ37 to make comparisons. Even the old VQ35 in the 350/G35 would be a better comparison. Haha, I'm a fun killer? Perhaps, LOL.

No way, that's a 50% increase.

I wouldn't expect too much more than 400.

SeeyaBud86 01-21-2010 09:44 AM

We'll see what Stillen comes up with...I'd be fine with 400 as well...
