New AAM TT Build
I am starting an AAM TT build over here in Korea. I have just bought some parts and have read through the forum for some time before my account was approved. Just wanted to get your thoughts on what I've purchased and see if the community can think of anything else that is a must have before I start my total install in August time frame.
AAM TT Kit upgraded to 1000CC injectors AAM 3" True Dual exhaust AAM Stage 4 clutch/flywheel AAM R-line oil cooler Heavy Duty CSC EcuTek w/ 4 bar map sensor/advanced boost control programming/ launch control Sparta Big brake kit front/back Z1 Urethane Motor mounts Z1 Urethane transmission mounts Z1 Front diff bushing Z1 Rear diff bushing A/F, Oil pressure, boost gauge A Pillar from Galeforce KW V3 coilovers Aeromotive 340 fuel pump Sparta Big brake Thanks Bimbimbop Last edited by bimbimbop; 07-06-2017 at 09:32 PM. I have thought abot this option before...still not convinced on it all the way..could be somthing that im just not familiar with that much though..ill look into it more..the race option i just read is intriguing though

The adjustment of the Z1 kit was a no go for me. A properly designed hydraulic system should not need adjusting. When was the last time you had to adjust your brakes????
My 1977 Fiat Spider has a cable clutch that needs adjusting about every 10K miles, but that is old technology.......

The Zspeed HD CSC has been a reliable performer. No problems with mine.

Man this build is almost identical to my mine except I went with FI 3" TT TDX CBE, and a CJM Fuel System.
I really want to replace the factory gauges to some real meaningful gauges but don't really want to spend another $1K on new gauges/sensors. |

Fuel system up-grade isn't on the list & CJM is a great choice;
be sure & go all stainless if you plan to tune E-85 or similar. A nice air-air cooler & consider a good pair of oil catch can's (properly routed), I've heard stories of sending boost to the crankcase....not good.

I would highly suggest getting the CJM fuel top hat upgrade for your build. The stock top hat (plastic trash) is a terrible design and for sure will fail.

After 2 yrs and upgrading to FI...my ACT SS clutch started to slip and couldn't hold. I ended upgrading my clutch and flywheel where the CMAK was offered. Let me say that when I pulled the HD CSC out it was worn and also took a beating. This is expected as its internal in the drive train and takes a lot of heat. If I reused it i wouldve had fo purchase a rebuild kit. The CMAK design is on the exterior of the tranny for easier access and is cheaper to rebuild when changing clutches/flywheel combos. After 6 months and a few weekend runs at the drag strip the CMAK has performed like a champ.
