Stillen Supercharger in California
I have a question and I even left a message for Stillen, but no answer yet. I am looking to getting into a 2015+ nismo in the near future and want to supercharge it with the Stillen Supercharger setup because I live in California and well... You know Cali and the ridiculous smog laws... So I read that Stillen's superchargers are CARB legal in 50 states for models 2008 to 2014? So if I'm reading it right, that means that if I use a stillen supercharger for a 2015+ nismo or even a base/touring version then it would not be CARB legal then? Can anyone else confirm or disprove my thinking? I've searched for a while but got no real/relevant answer so I decided to post lol. Any help would be great. And If I hear from Stillen sometime, I will update on this info. Thanks all

Interesting.
This page says it's CARB approved https://www.stillen.com/stillen-2012...-407772nb.html The actual CARB number says it's not https://arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/d...o/D-436-20.pdf |
Oh wow... So based on the actual CARB number, my plans of a 2015+ nismo with a stillen S/C will not be CARB legal...even though no real change has been going on since 2009 engine wise..lol what a bummer..

Oh well. You would have to roll around on their tune anyway that barely makes more than full bolt ons and a tune. Just go HFC's, Gen 3's, catback and ecutek. You will be close to the same power level except have reliability and it will be more responsive.

I don't know anything about carb. Just posting what info I found. Maybe they have another carb number and just didn't update the website? Could be others possibilities as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If there actually is a carb eo number for it, go ahead, and then get an air/air kit, and get it properly tuned. Switch back to the canned tune and intake when it's time for smog. A little more wrenching every few years. Smog is so messed up, as long as you have cats it should be legal imho.
