I believe this is a misconception that seems to be accepted as common knowledge here. They don't have Mike@GTM anymore who was a primary designer of this kit, but they do have knowledgeable people there. The guy they set me up with for support, Jason, knew the kit forwards and backwards.

Based on my experience, the customer service is good. I wouldn't put it up there with what we hear about from Fast Intentions, but I have gotten good service from Gamma, even more than a year after I bought from them.

Was Jason there during the GTM days? From what I remember of the final days of GTM, everybody that knew anything left since they hadn't been paid in months. It wasn't that Gamma chose not to keep everybody, most of them left earlier.

I have no idea to tell you the truth.. but I do believe, as you do, that the last days of GTM probably didn't go over well with the employees. My uneducated guess is that he probably was not there.

He was super knowledgeable about the kit though. Many of my questions he was even able to provide pictures from other installations to illustrate what I needed to do. If they could have dumped his brain into the instruction manual it would have been awesome.

Thanks for the tips guys! Being that our dollars in the shitter right now, the FI kit is quite a bit more expensive than aam or gamma. I would love to go BP but he hasnt gotten back to me about the kit and I'm assuming it'll be a few months before one would be able to be shipped.Would AAM be a bad kit to go with? Good to hear about the Gamma kit as well, it seems like a solid kit and its nice to know that someone has had good luck recently.

Make sure you call all of these companies, as some may offer you a small discount as incentive. I have heard this about AAM.. and I believe the same to be true about Gamma.

Also, if price is a heavy concern you need to consider installation costs.
Are you doing your own work?

FI and AAM instruct you to pull the motor.

Gamma kit you install without pulling the motor, but still laborious and not trivial to DIY (though I did.. you can read my build thread for the ups and downs of it).

BP - by far the easiest installation. Commonly done by DIYers. Also the easiest to reverse should you ever want to remove it.

I would be doing the install myself! Not that price is a huge huge concern, I would just rather save a few grand and put it into another part of the car.

Then be patient and go with BP! Saves the most money, you get great support and easy to install.

Unless you are experienced with this level of modification, then the BP kit is the one for you.

I installed mine without being experienced, but I also had a second pair of hands, a full sized lift, and a Brother-In-Law who was searching for any reason at all to expand his tool collection at my disposal and it was a very trying experience. I can easily see how someone like me might make some costly installation errors.

That being said, if you are good at spotting potential for problems and are comfortable tearing apart your entire engine compartment and/or pulling the motor, then go for the TT if you want it!

Look at it this way....yes Fast Intentions is the most expensive but if you decide to go twin turbo you are paying for the best quality hands down and in a way paying for the best customer service you can ask for and i would gladly pay just for that alone. If you do want to save some money then there is no brainer than to go with Boosted Performance. Upside beside saving a bit of money is that the kit is of great quality and the customer service is pretty damn great too.
