Supercharger is on the way back from Vortech and should be here Friday! Minor rebuild with the Si trim upgrade (thanks Topgunz for really twisting my arm on that one haha ) As soon as it gets back, I'll have it on and oiled and hopefully be able to take her out for a Friday night cruise

Got the SC back a day early!!! Slapped it on, refilled all the fluids and turned'er over! That marbly sound seems to be coming back..... Which makes me wonder, how tight do you tension the small SC belt? Could radial pressure cause the imbalance leading to that sound? Just spitballing a little here. It is definitely quieter than the first time!

YES! Do not overtighten than a 70* twist. I had mine at about 90* because when i went to 45 you could hear the bearings being stressed. Your marbles.

I don't really understand this, I'm sorry. Is this 70 degrees turn on the tensioner? If so, where is your starting point (i.e. 70 degrees from the point you can no longer push up on it yourself?)?

In hindsight, this may have been what caused the very original and subsequent failure of the bearings. I refuse to repeat that mistake!!

At this point, I feel like backing it off until belt slippage occurs and then tightening from there might be my best bet.

Edit: Any tool recommendations for tightening/loosening the tension pulley from the top with everything installed? I am going to run to Lowes for a 9/16 crowfoot today, but I was curious if you guys had any tools that worked really well from the top.

Put down 410whp/310wtq before they thought I ran lean and wouldn't pull it again... AFRs solid, no higher than 12.03, so I think they might have had an issue with the probe they were using for AFRs. I was hoping for a little higher, but I got the WOT data for Seb at SpecialtyZ to iron out the top end and maybe find a few more horses. It's looking like time to pick up the 9lb pulley

No way. Your tuner is off. There is zero chance of running lean at 410whp with that fuel setup. I was running without a rfs and made 533whp on E85! Which takes 30% more fuel!

Plus those mods should have you deep into the 400s, not just barely over. Something is wrong.

I sent the data from my 2 dyno runs to Sebastian, so I anticipate good things!

Woo from the forum here lives out by me and said he was running ~447 on a similar setup without fuel mods (other than bigger injectors, so I was hoping for that at least!
EDIT: I believe he has the F.I. exhaust which is a little bigger than my Borla w/ test pipes. This may contribute to lower numbers.

Dude at the dyno day also said he let off at the end because he thought it was running lean based on their probe. Again, triple checking the data, No AFR's on either bank above 12.5 until the gas was let off and my hp/tq graphs looked almost identical throughout the ROM range despite me allegedly running lean 2.5k RPM sooner on the second run. It was a dyno day even and not a tuning session, so I can understand the conservative approach to not running the car again given the data they could see.

I didn't open the data files until I got home to scour them for any issues. I'm not confident in my ability to tune a car, but I am confident in my ability to find and diagnose a lean condition based on pedal position, AFRs, MAF voltage, injector cycles, etc., if it exists, and I didn't see it.

I'm looking forward to the next iteration of my tune and I can't say enough good things about Sebastian so far! Based on the 310wtq number though, I feel safe moving up to the 9 pounder, if I can find one these days that is haha!
