AAM Twin Turbo Build supporting mods?

Hey guys so i finally decided to pull the trigger and go ahead with purchasing the AAM kit. The following is a list of the supporting mods i was thinking of purchasing, any positive critiques or suggestions are welcomed. Let me know if i missed anything, thank you!

AAM TT kit
Walbro 485 fuel pump
ID1000 CC injectors
Southbend stage 3 clutch/flywheel
AAM oil cooler
Return style fuel system
GoFastBits boost controller
speed density conversion
CJM road race pump
Ecutek tune

+10k in the bank emergency fund already in place.

I would add an oil cooler to your list. The position of the turbos are right underneath the engine on this kit and when you're WOT thru all the gears it will get warm! I have the same kit

Agreed on the oil cooler, also should look into some suspension components, assuming you don't have any already.

Also good choice on the GFB and South Bend, that's my setup

AAM Oil Cooler is already on the list.
I don't see radiator. I would probably change that since it coming off already.

Good catch on the Radiator, as for suspension i have swift spec r springs sitting around waiting to be installed for now, as well as new TSW bathurst wheels w/ michelin super sports.

Diff bushings

Always go as max as you can on clutch and fuel as those are the two biggest b#### areas to address after the fact and limit your power irregardless.

I'd rather go 1300cc w/ twin pump 255/485 setup and a twin disc clutch or a stage 5 southbend (I did big single in the past, and it was still a potential limiter in my mind even though it never slipped on me @ high 6's.

You'll likely eventually build or sell the car, and I'd rather hedge a bet on addressing those now with a potential built motor build later in which case clutch/fuel won't be a problem of yours for a long while.

I can't remember where I read this, but it's recommended that you do a clutch upgrade before the power upgrade. The reason is to wear in the clutch correctly without glazing it like can happen with much more power to handle.

Thank's on the feedback Juztin, it's something that i will have to rethink.

You want to do a proper clutch break-in before giving it too much power... but after an FI install, you'll need to do WOT runs on the dyno to tune it... hence, you'd rather install the clutch first and get it properly broken in before installing FI so that you can get it tuned up without worrying about improper break-in of your clutch disk.

So do you guys think these parts are good? or is there a different variation that may be better? etc

Do you need that AAM water cooled oil cooler? I see most people saying it's overkill unless maybe you are tracking a boosted Z.

Not sure who is installing and how, but might need to replace the engine mount.

good point here.. Get some Z1 mounts and put them in, they will be a huge pain to put in after the fact. (I know because I didn't think to do this... and now I am dreading the day when one of my OEM mounts fails)

Diff bushings are a must. Don't bother with a radiator the stock one does just fine and it seems like all this will do is cause more headaches.

Brake and suspension upgrades are a good idea when doubling the HP on a car.
