Yes this is what I had to do....the Turbosmart was way worse on flutter...Topz will take care of getting u all the stuff for the Tial set up....

I've tried 4 different BOV's on my GTM supercharged setup. Turbosmart was the worst for fluttering., Then tried Synapse Diverter valve. I finally found a Tial QRJ that does not flutter, but was loud as I did not circulate it after upgrading my S.C. to Stage 1.5.
My remedy has been to attach a K& N filter on the BOV output flange and wrap that filter with some 1/2 foam. That really quieted things down.
I'd recommend a maintenance / cleaning -lubricating about as often as changing the oil .Or even more frequently. They do stick and using the turbomsart lube does a nice job also..

I just got done with all this BPV flutter Bullsh*t. What a PITA. The valve still flutters but not under boost. Usually only if I'm cruising about 2K rpm or so and just back off the throttle a bit and it'll flutter. But when I'm romping on it there's no flutter at all, sounds like it should. But any flutter to me sound like crap.

So let me get this straight....you can replace a BPV with a BOV when SC'd ? I've heard two different stories on this.

Take a look at the Tial QRJ , You would have to have the valve flange cut off and the new flange welded back on. Not that big of a deal. The qrj can be recirculated or vent to atmosphere. Only valve that I've used ( and I've tried a shitload of different valves) that does not flutter!!!!
BTW.. I " aquired" that pulley.. lol

Are you talking about the extra pulley to get rid of belt slip?

Can anyone link to cleaning instructions for the QRJ? I am getting terrible flutter when cruising under partial throttle.

Thanks!

Have you always had that flutter at that speed on a highway or is it new?

The reason I ask is because I have a Tial bov on my a A to A, SC setup and on a highway (on cruise control at about 60MPH/100KMH) when boost is 0 it flutters continually unless I back off or accelerate (changing from negative or to positive boost) then it stops. It's not because it needs cleaning, it is it's normal operation.

It's either relatively new or it has become much more noticeable. I drive a 70mph road to and from work everyday and the flutter is incessant. Most likely for the reason you described. I've been contemplating going to an over-pressure BOV setup (opens at 12psi, for instance, but remains shut otherwise), this may be the sign haha

The 1.5, I believe. The one that shipped with the V1 Topgunz kit.

When I had the fluttering issue with the qrj, I switched to the 3 psi and had no issues after that.

Glad I saw this post, having this issue with my SI upgrade. Which color spring is 3psi? Might have to do this ungrade. Getting fluttering between 2500-2900 rpm under acceleration. Performance is fantastic just an irritating noise in that rpm range

Also does the QRJ need to be relubed when cleaned? if so which kind do you recommend?
